I'm not an avid listener to this band yet I really like this song.

Just started listening, sounds great so far! Very well spoken!
Hey what's that song playing at the start?!?
NVM The Wallflowers!

The media sucks. Except for team900. And yeah, even the people on l'anti-chambre 'cause they're funny although VERY unrealistic... yet funny. I'll keep to RDS and team990 this year.

On a side note, do you think management would take a run at Kyle Turris given this week's developments?
I'm not quite sure they have the cap space, they'd have to unload a heavy contract like Gomez of Cammy to get him. So it may be unlikely.
Thanks Natural Mystic! I'm not usually the topic starter type. I tend to post dumb comments to existing great discussions.
You're welcome. Hehe nice humility
It's crazy his contact compared to others, like Max Pac who is producing already. I can only hope that the players see it as a team game and that Gomez CAN help the team. Since he has such a high contact, he should contribute in the way that he can, which at this point seems like a steady re-integration into the lineup via playing on the wing. Yeah I was surprised at the video of him on the Rags and NJ. He drove to the net and seemed to follow the puck well. He created all those plays. To be fair, he HAS been trying harder this year and has been attempting to shoot more often and go through the center of the ice. Just no results yet.
Wanting the cup back in MTL, Gomez has to play like the highest paid player, we need him to get going, he used to be feisty as well... he should look at his tapes again like Kovy, maybe he did. Maybe his current injury has given him some reflection time. If he got on fire we're an even better team, and my prediction for this team was over 100 points, and I still feel they can do that. Gomez with 60 points this year is nice. Maybe he can pull through! You think that he does want to contribute lots, seeing how he's getting lots of cash. And apparently he is giving back to the community.
Hopefully he can get going soon.

That leaves room for interpretation.
Like now the belief that because Mystic doesn't agree with anarchy... he is obviously a fascist.
and because he thinks atheism sucks he must be a member of the Westboro Baptist Church (the one that protested at all them funerals)

I think Gomez deserves his own thread on this site. He's not getting sent down, and we all know it. He's very difficult to trade, and we all know it. Can we put him on the wing? Is this something worth considering? Any precedent for such a move? Would he entertain that idea, maybe embrace it? I'm not suggesting Eller is ready. I realize we beat the Flyers with goaltending in disarray, and the Bruins who are off to a slow start. But we might be seeing encouraging signs for the future.
Ask and you shall receive. Gomez hasn't scored a goal since Febuary. On team990 it's been speculated that he can't play C anymore, yet has the ability to carry the puck into the opposing zone with efficiency. Is he past his prime? I feel like an experiment on the wing would be an excellent choice. Can management pull through? Like where is THIS Gomez?

+1
Again, Price was outstanding (with the exception of the Pleks goal), which got us the win. We need a more offensively minded coach to make the most out of our lineup.
I don't know if what I've been noticing the last few games is accurate, yet it seems for the first time in a long time we have 2 forward checkers, and then since we;re fast, it's easy to get back on D. They seem to be pressuring the puck carrier with 2 so create some turnovers. Anyone else notice at all?

But can he fight?
LOL @ Subban last night.
Way to go Louis Leblanc!

Thanks for the sim!
Too bad this isn't the real season. KO'ed Florida 4-0 and Columbus 4-1.
Tallackson has 3G 3A in 6 games. He most likely won't be protected for the waiver draft....hint hint. (I'm over the cap limit )

Hey now! You can't just come on the controversial thread and state things like that without giving reasons! How can we argue your points and enter into a civil debate when your statements are so simplistic and grade 3? ;-)
Explain how or why they suck, and we can go from there!
I just wrote out a short essay to answer the questions, took like 45 minutes, then I realized from my experiences this year that I have a new aversion to explaining things.
I had this friend last year, he was a kid like 10 or 11 and I was so stupid, he wanted to trade my ipod for his skateboard for a few days, and I was so resistant that he stared crying and even started to kick me, little did I know that he was right - I should have made the trade... children know. There is a reason it's called a leap of faith.
Anyways... *runs off to the floating music thread*.
I shall stay grade 3 thanks.

I'm surprised to see Joseph Campbell and George Carlin mentioned here.
Personally Bill Hicks does comedy for me. Other than Dave Chappelle I don't really enjoy many other comics.
Since this is the controversy thread, atheism and anarchy suck! And so does religion and politics, and so does mainstream media
Melodic Power metal rules
More on awesome music in the music thread later...

JM did do a pretty good switch up of the lines. Now we just need to see if he will keep them together.
The one thing he does well is keep winning lines together. So it's looking good for the first period tonight.

Awesome, now I can enjoy some post game radio show for two hours.

The only change that is possible is new management and coaching staff. Yet that's not the answer so the way I see it now, there is no solution, only playing through the pain.
-
With Patches going down (I hope it;s not major!) it's getting to look pretty grim. Sources at HIO said that the team practiced with these lines this morning.
Kostitsyn-Eller-Darche
Plekanec-Gionta-Moen
DD-Cammalleri-Cole
Nokelainen-Blunden-EMELIN
Oh man, Emelin playing 4th line. If you thought having Moen as the leading goal scorer was bad... Listening to team990 last night, they said that the Habs are up to the cap pretty much, which doesn't leave much wiggle room for bringing in new contacts. Being in such a tight spot, it's make or break.
Sigh, I can't even think of any solutions, and the team still has an opportunity to win games and get out of this mess. Yet if the meltdown continues, it would be wise to do a rebuild and ship some of these UFA out like what was mentioned above, and try, TRY to get rid of Gomez (god that prolly won't happen)
Gomez, Gio and Cammy aren't playing the best so far. Cole just got here so it shouldn't fall solely on his shoulders. He has shown more drive that G, G and C over the course of this year so far.
Boston isn't playing that well, even with the rivalry, I'm not too worried about those games and how tough they'll be.
So yeah, after a few more weeks the picture will be a lot clearer, until then I don't think they're many solutions, the team is where they are right now, they've got to play and win. It's a huge test with all the injuries.
I've been reading some great posts here by the way. +1
Sigh... what will happen only time will tell.
-
The Florida goalie did play a good game... yet is that just an excuse? I really don't see why they keep loosing all these one goal games.
At least I can listen to some 990 post game...

RDS is saying Darche is on 1st power play unit. And Eric Cole, with his 4 year 18 million dollar contact is not. Gotta hand it to Jacques Martin, it's his show, and he doesn't bend for anything. This is his last coaching job in the league, in my opinion, and it's coming to an end. That's how you "lose" a room. Wait until January, when it's -39C in Montreal, and +10C in Raleigh. Mr. Cole is going to love his decision, with his 11 minutes per game.
It'll be interesting. They're already talking about JM on RDS. Micheal Bergeron is saying exactly what you're saying, and he's saying PG won't have a job either. Time will tell the tale.
Whoa, they interviewed Patrick Roy, he said he has confidence in the coaching staff and that they'll finish out the season, and also that he's happy where he is.

It looked much better until the preview bunched everything together! So this is my first attempt at a GDT.
GO HABS GO!
