Once again I apologize for this not being updated throughout the weekend. We had a death in our family and between the funeral and all of the eulogys it's been hectic.
No apologies needed AC, that's terrible news. My condolences.

So I beat Resident Evil 5 yesterday and presentation wise, it was a pretty amazing game. One of the better storylines in the series IMO. Big gameplay issues though, they really didn't change much from Resident Evil 4 and theres some things in 4 they were allowed to get away with in 2005 that you really can't anymore in 2009. Not being able to move while you shoot and weapon selecting being two of the big ones.
The cover system was pretty half-assed and if you're flying solo, Sheva is one of the worst A.I partners out there. However if you've got a buddy playing as Sheva, the game becomes 10x better. The boss battles are way more memorable from RE4 but overall the game will only be memorable because it's part of the RE series.
Now that I've beaten basically everything I own (with the exception of Pokemon Platinum), I'm thinking I might trade everything in and upgrade to a DSi. I still have my GBA SP for GBA games and I'm really sick of my big, ugly clunky original DS.

Langkow will enjoy playing for a true contender and should help the Sens do some damage but he wasn't too happy here and this allows me to make my team younger and add some energy to the lineup. Bartanus will fit right in and Liukko just gives me another asset to use down the road. Thanks Jets.

4-1 Loss to Montreal. Started Lebec so meh.
7-2 Win vs Boston. Vasyunov with a hat trick. At least Lebec won me this one.
Player of the sim for the Caps is Alexander Vasyunov. 4 goals and an assist make for a solid start with his new team.
Ryan Parent will be back next sim too.

I do this to add a true threat to my top 6. Colin Wilson is going to end up into a solid playmaking centre and the pick is solid but I need the help now so depleting the farm is worth it for me. I've never been the patient type anyways. Hensick dowgraded to Holzapfel and Morozov added as a salary dump. Thanks to Mark for the quick negotiations and best of luck turning the Flames into a contender.

Seriously? With Jonas Hiller?
Hiller will do fine IMO but we'll see soon enough. Whitney and especially Wisniewski have been great for them as of late and that could help.

HNIC just predicted last weekend that Roy would end up as the new Avs coach. He was apparently offered the job last summer but felt he wasn't ready for the NHL yet. I'm sure Granato's job is safe until the team decides who the new GM is but when that happens, he'll be gone. He's had two chances with the team and failed both times.
You won't admit it but I know Jacques Lemaire is your first choice.....
