Thanks. I dont care if that was meant for me or not, it brought a tear to my eye anyway! :(

Yes it was meant for you (despite the Worrell deal);) and all the others responsible.

Well I made lots of changes to hopefully get the Senators out of the first round for the first time in a while and make a run for the Stanley Cup. IMO, I have a much better lineup now than what I started with and drastically improved my farm team in the process.

Things are looking good in the nation's capital now and down the road. Finances are in order and I am already looking forward to the upcoming draft and next season.

Pittsburgh hasn't got a chance. Defense wins championships and you're certainly whooping them there. I don't think you need Spezza though, better hand him over to me >_>

Do we still have time to make a deal?

I am much more worried about that damn Florida team, they are very solid. Heck all of the teams in the East are going to be tough. Lots of nice additions for some while others chose to stand pat. Should be a great playoff. The West is going to be interesting as well, my sleeper is Phoenix if they can get good goaltending, but it is also anyone's race. Good luck to all 16 in the playoffs. :/)

  4. To Ottawa:

    Alex Zhamnov (34) $3.5M 1yr 84-75-80

    To St. Louis:

    Greg Watson (22) $500k 1yr 64-51-62

    Ottawa's 2007 1st round draft pick.

Watson became expendable when I acquired Niinimaki from Edmonton and the 2007 pick is OK by me to add this type of player for the playoffs. With Zhamnov my 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines all improve for the playoffs.

    Ottawa accepts and confirms.

{Edit} wrong player, sorry St. Louis I was just in a big hurry and got the wrong guy.:wall:

Also, like to thank St. Louis for these quick and simple negociations. Sorry again my bad.

  5. With Ray Emery hot in Binghamton, and the need to make room for Jeff Glass next year it made Prusek expendable, as did White become expendable after the deal with Montreal. Trnka was a throw in to give LA a decent replacement on the point for Miller.

In Miller I get what could be that all important final piece to Stanley Cup glory. The second round pick is also nice since i gave mine up for Peter GD Worrell.

    Ottawa accepts and confirms.

  6. To Montreal

    Daniel Alfredsson 32 $ 5 430 660 5yrs 89-76-81

    To Ottawa

    Michael Ryder 24 $ 605 000 1yr 80-71-77

    Jan Bulis 26 $1 000 000 4yrs 75-74-76

    Future Considerations.

After the deal with LA to aquire my much sought after defenceman, I needed to move some salary. Alfie was going to be moved in the off season anyway and I am quite happy with the return. Both Bulis and Ryder have there best season ahead of them and don't hurt my lineup now.

    Ottawa accepts and confirms.

I don't know how Plekanec would fit on a 4th line. I guess it's the only way he can start in the NHL. 4th line and time on the 2nd PP unit (Ribs at the point on the 1st PP unit?)

The second PP unit is a great idea for Plekanec with Ryder and possibly Bonk?

I prefer Saku on the point for the first unit though, with Ribs at centre. The type of hockey that Ribs plays IMO he would be a more creative man down low than on the point.

    But, I guess I didn't answer the orginal question.:wall:

I have a feeling that if any two of Hainsey,Bouillon,Striet impress at camp you will see Dandenault on the 4th line with Begin and I like the sounds of Plekanec being there.

I just opened this thread so that the main forum won't get too messy because of that.

BTW. Though I'm sure that this thread will be the longest in HW history. :D

Except when he left us for a huge contract and then coming back to where the grass is greener at the first chance he had. Always like him, one of our few guys who stood up for teammates. Maybe we can hire him as an assistant coach to replace Rick Green. :D

I give a rats because I'm thinking about the better good of the league & fairness.

    Redden = Smyth

    Havlat >>>>> Smith.

Go to bed, sleep on it, wake up hung over tomorrow, :puke:, have a glass of orange juice, take two Tylenols and we'll talk again.

    Trade pending.

WTF, am I not able to make trades that I feel will help me to succeed in this years playoffs? Each manager has their own priorities and getting a forward like Smyth was mine. Even though, I don't feel that I need to justify this to anyone, I will. My team is full of the exact same players. All of my forwards are pussy's, deep down they are compared to other teams in the east. With the playoffs fast approaching and my team scraping by I felt that a change was in order and who better playoff performer than RYAN SMYTH!!!!! Hell, Jason Smith hold his own as well. Granted, Havlat and Redden are great players and I would have like to keep them both but let's be serious here for a second. I was never going to be able to keep Redden and Chara long-term and one was going to go somewhere. I feel that I have built a solid d-corps in the minors that will help fill the HUGE hole left by Redden in the long term. While again, what I feel is strengthening my team.

    And for the hangover coment:

    UNCALLED FOR!!!! :-^

Are you trying to run a league for people to enjoy league and take some risks? As you stated earlier.

Nighty, night to you and your boy-toy.
