  1. Vancouver sends:

    Benoit Pouliot - $3M X 4yrs + TO {CON --> 81}

    Michael Blunden - $1.8M X 2yrs + TO {CON --> 73}

    to San Jose for:

    Albert Swanda - $1.8M X 3 rs + TO {CON --> 95}

    Steve Bernier - $1.8M X 3yrs + TO {CON --> 81}

    Thanks Colin, I honestly didn't see myself trading Pouliot to you but alas, here we are. Benny has been my best & most consistent player over the last 2 seasons and Blunden was fantastic last season coming in from Chicago. On the flip side I like the upgrade of Bernier from Blunden and will accept the downgrade from Swanda to Pouliot to get it.

    Both of my new players have low PEN ratings which kind of scares me and my 29th ranked PK but I hope to make another move that will help improve that.

    Thanks again Colin and here's to a Vancouver/San Jose western final next year. ;)

  3. Mikko Koivu ratings in his last 10 games 8-6-7-9-6-8-9-8-8-8 for an average of 8. Pretty good on your side too...

    no, no I'm quite pleased with Mikko's performance in the late stages of the season and playoffs ........... i just want my pick too :P

  4. Yeah... it sucks... but it's true.

    I'd post more, but I literally don't have time to!

    It's been great playing, but, I have to turn all of my focus to school, it's a very important semester in my studies.

    I'll be lurking around though, no worries... and maybe if there's a team available sometime this summer I'll pop back in - I just can't juggle it all now (and I think I've proven that I didn't ruin the Rangers... basically all the players on the roster that just made the 3rd round have 3 or more years left in them. The core has maybe 8 to 10 seasons left.

    I announce this now so that a GM can be found to replace so the team doesn't miss out on draft/UFA/etc.

    Cheers!

    :)

    (Ohhh yeah! I quit before Stream, sort of!)

    :rolleyes:

    see ya in a couple of weeks

  5. Without analyzing the game results, I must say I'm stunned. I actually sent a set of lines that was supposed to lose at least one game just so I could avoid the curse of the media that's been discussed so much lately. When I tested lines, most of the games were close so I expect to see that in the results of the actual sim.

    how can you be stunned when half of your AHL roster can play on 90% of the NHL teams? Better yet, you and Mike would beat NJ's NHL team in a series as well, and likely a sweep too.

  6. BIG game today, hopefully the successful roadtrip isn't spoiled in the next 4 games (3 @ home) which "should" be tough one's.

    It sure wasn't the habs being bombarded with shots. I think they actually outshot the opposition for half of the games.... and that's saying something for the Habs.

    Is this game televised at all? (aside from RDS, damn cable company)

    http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebyweek.htm?...10&team=mtl just RDS unless of course you get MSG, I for one prefer my hockey without MSG :P
