How do you know they're both benched?
-
I'd love to have Scott Stevens right about now...
-
Going to score soon...
-
How was that not cross-checking at teh end of the period behind the net?
-
Shakey save from Thomas...
This is so boring and frustrating at the same time...
-
Why does our PP blow so hard now?
-
Great shot by Ryder! Wrister from the blueline into the stands....
-
It'd be nice to have Bouillon-O'Byrne back there right now...

I hope the Bruins are totally broken after last night's comeback and loss, and that this is a good ole Habs shellacking of the B's.
This is a real must-win game for the Bruins. If they don't win tonight, the series is over. They will come out harder than last night. They know they should have won. Our boys had better be ready...

Did you go yet ? http://www.williamjwalter.com/
No, I'm going to go straight after my last exam on Thursday and have a huge barbeque and watch the game (if there is one) and get trashed with a bunch of friends. It's going to be amazing.

well i think everyone knew the guy was going to be good. I remember when he was a rookie.
still smirking over my prediction. Didn't everyone say the Ducks were sc bound again? or was that SJ? can't remember now.
Although the series isn't over yet, I called the Stars over the Ducks.
Here's a link to the Flyers-Capitals game on now.

Dear Josh, i've been bashing on you a lot of times this early season, now i'd like to take all these comments back and apologize.
You steped your game up in a way thay BLOWS ME OFF !!!
You represent my #1 surprise of the season and now make Gainey look like a genius with this trade !
GO GORGES GO
It think you mean "away" not "off"
-
Wow! Preds score 2 goals to tie it up in about 15 seconds!
-
For my phone's ringtune, I alternate between Ole, the old goal song (with the trumpets), Mortal Kombat, and this video.
It's pretty awesome. Right now I'm sticking with the Habs stuff though.

Wow. He's doing amazing!

Last summer, the Edmonton GM went on a spending spree. His offer sheet to Thomas Vanek forced Buffalo to sign Vanek to a seven-year contract worth $50 million, starting with a cool $10 million this season.
Then Lowe made Dustin Penner an offer Brian Burke could and did refuse to match: $21.25 million for five years. The contract infuriated the Anaheim GM, who has been trashing Lowe ever since.
Edmonton also signed Sheldon Souray for $27 million over five years.
Lowe's latest signings are defenceman Tom Gilbert and forward Robert Nilsson, young Oilers who were pending Restricted Free Agents.
Gilbert, who's 25, got a six-year contract worth $24 million (3.5, 3.5, 5.5, 5, 3.5 and 3). Gilbert, who made $825,000 this season, played 82 games. He scored 13 goals, added 20 assists, was minus-6 and blocked 159 shots – tops among NHL rookies.
Nilsson, 23, signed for $5 million over three years (1.5, 2 and 2). He played 71 games, scored 10 goals, added 31 asssists and was plus-8. Nilsson made $942,000 this season.
Bear those Edmonton numbers in mind as you weigh the value of a couple Canadiens RFAs:
• Mark Streit, 29, scored 13 goals, had 49 assists, was minus-6 and made $600,000.
• Andrei Kostitsyn, 22, had 26 goals, 27 assists and was plus-15. His salary was $612,000.
Josh Gorges, who made $425,000 this season is another pending RFA. So's Maxim Lapierre.
And we won't even talk about Tomas Plekanec and Christopher Higgins, who become RFAs at the end of next season; or Mike Komisarek, who will be a UFA in the summer of '09.

EDIT: Their cap hit for 08-09 is $39,547,000.

Does anyone know what the name or version and what album that "The Streets Have No Name" that was played pregame last night comes from? Is it a live or alternate U2 version? Is it a cover?
I believe it was played by the in house band.
-
Yep. I've seen a lot of these types of games but seeing as I have Nabokov in my pool, I'm quite happy.
If we look at just stats, Marty Turco has 4 shutouts in his last 8 playoff games. That's freaking sick too.
He was playing in a super-defensive and mind-numbingly boring series against the offensively-ret@rded Vancouver Canucks.
Still good though.

You know the respect level in the dressing room?
Why do the Habs need a guy who can fight when they have not needed one all season? Why do they need to make changes to a lineup that
won game one handily? Why remove a guy who had 3 goals and an assist and is a +1 against them this season?
What has been identified that they need to beat Boston? I think the fact that they have won 12 straight that they have done a pretty good job
of identifying what they need to win.
I don't really think tossing in an inexperienced rookie in Grabs or Stewart is going to make the Canadiens significantly better.
Until Dandenault does something that warrants a removal I don't think it makes sense to replace a guy who can drop back to D should an injury arise
with mulitple Stanley Cups for a soft speedy forward or a kid who played 1 NHL game with nothing on the line.
Seconded!

I just have to share a great Ovechkin quote from this TSN this morning: "During season game, you just sometimes sleeping you know, and you make some hit or somebody makes it on you, you just wake up and start realize: Oh! Hockey game!"
I love that guy...

Anyone watching the Flames game? What happened in the second period? They got outshot 26-3!

What a great photo:

Didn't see the whole game, but saw a good chunk - enough to know that it was mostly a laughter. However, I AM a little worried about the PP. Another game our two like that and it becomes an 'issue.'
Price is bizarre - in his postgame interviews he seemed almost comatose. Komisarek is studying meditation but Price is already an eerily calm Zen Master.
Bruins will be desperate next game, but you really have to wonder if they're not beaten before they begin.
I think you mean laugher. And it wasn't.
Here's a statistic for you: including tonight, we haven't scored in 3 straight games on the PP against the Bruins.
