Movies
in The Lounge
I think I'm the only person in existence that thought the movie was boring as hell.Cars and The Incredibles are the only Pixar movies I don't like.
Cars was Ok. The Incredibles was awefull as hell
The Hangover, best comedy i've seen in a while!! Great movie...and the photo's showing in the end are Hilarious!just coming back from there !! that allan guy was amazing !!!

It has to be the stupidest thing I,ve heard in my life
Montreal fans have sunk in an alltime low. I guess being a fan doesnt mean being knowledgeable.
Of course he could impress with a great deke or a nice wrister...Malakhov did too.
he could also leave you wondering if he ever cared about playing the game by showing a lack of effort on the ice...malakhov did too.
never happy by the way his coaches handled the way he play
needing to be father by Bob Gainey.
keeoping the puck to himself way too long before an opponent could take it away from him.
a non factor/liability 5 on 5
I guess some Habs fans are easy to impress.

i think Chipchura has to go through waivers before being sent down. Maybe he'd be taken but I doubt it.
-
Mathieu aubin and Loic Lacasse we hardly knew ye.
-
How can I change my nickname ??
see ya komi. thanks for the years !!
-
I'll burn my Komi jersey in Bob's office !
and I'll have to change my name to marky and camy !!
I love this signing!!
Bravo BOb !!
now please get bigger up front !!
-
I hate this guy. He must apologize for killing zednik. then I may forgive him
of course your kidding !!
not a bad move by Gainey. he's big tall, defensive. he may not be as fast but we have enough mobility.
I'm sure he could become a big brother to the likes of obynre subban and weber!!
markov-spacek
harmlik-gorges
gill-obyrne
weber
not bad
Good job BOB !!!
-
have you even looked at his stats? he is an improvement over what we have. Go to the buffalo site the link is right there. then tell me what it is you don't like cause so far you ain't done nothing but criticize.
I was talking about age. You should really try to keep up with this fast pace. he is 35 they are all older got it?
and you have never answered me about how you KNOW he could have been signed last year last fall whenever.
we all agree that komi is an above average player, right ?? even a fuure captain.
as soon as players are starting their last contract year, you can start talking contract extension. as per bob policy, he doesnt talk contract until the end on the year.
with guys like bouillon or dandy its ok but in the case of a valuable, young player you try to show interest asap. now if the player doesnt want to stay that another story. but at least you know it and you try to pick assets for him at trade deadline.
perhaps you should take a beer and relax cause youre really agressive when someone disagrees with your opinion.

Sportsnet reports Habs sign Hal Gill, details to follow.
not the fastest cat but proved to be useful in the playoffs
-
his last contract with buffalo was 3 years 10 mill so he got a small increase. How old is neids? how old is pronger? come on guys 35 ain't that bad. brisebois and schnides are like 100.
Why are you putting Neids and pronger in the same sentence with Spacek ?? DO you really believe that they compare ??
not that he's a bad player but come on !!
Spacek signing proves that Gainey failed with Komisarek, a guy that should've been taken care of a year ago.

I'd still go at the Sedins. otherwize none of the choices are sexy to me.

Great, that's a bunch of useless guys gone to make room for our prospects.
As for Carle, punishment would be to keep him in the AHL and hold him back rather than give him the satisfaction of moving him somewhere else. Let's see if Boucher can get into his head and make something out of him.
you'd still want one or two vets to calm things down when those rookies feel pressured.
as for carle, he does have the size and skills...does he have the heart ??
-
Anthony Stewart could be a good gamble too
our 3rd-4th lines are full. besides he's got no wheels.
-
Habs would need to release some, I guess.
Especially since André Benoit is coming back after a year in Europe.
Jancevski, Henry, Anderson, Wyman, Kemp, Janik, Belle, Carle.
Since Fischer & Sub are right-side D's, I'M guessing Anderson and Wyman will lose their spots. Wyman can go back to F, Anderson can be released.
I dont know who else would be moved to make room for Benoit, McDo and/or Paquet. Paquet could end up in the ECHL early on.
Anderson: UFA
Belle: not offered a Q.O: UFA
Kemp: UFA
JANIK: UFA
Carle: the little bitch wanted out of MTL.let him rot I says.
Jancevski: I think he,s a loan from Dallas...
agreed, the added adantage is that weber makes schneider expendable, allowing that money to be spent elsewhere. Hopefully on someone like Komi.actually I'd love Schneider to stay and tutor Weber like he did with bogosian in Atlanta.
-
I'm guessing Weber will stick in the NHL. He showed lot of poised last season when he was called up at a time where everyone in the NHL are at their peak condition. But it'll depend on what Martin thinks.
when Martin sees his shot he'll fall in love the Weber. I think he's ready. Like you said he showed alot of poise and held his onw against Boston.

if subban, fischer and mcdo all make the jump doesn't that make for a very crowded D corps in hamilton, or am I missing something?
it may not be as crowder as I 1st thought:
heres a list of potential Dmen( given that the guys in the NCAA all sign)
subban
mcdonagh
weber
carle
fischer
JT wyman
andre benoit
frederic st denis
philippe paquet
greg Pateryn
one, maybe two of them could be in theNHL next year.
-
my guess is one of mcdonagh or fisher will come up while the other wiats another year... all depend on the 2 weeks camp( or is it one week ?) in july.
other than that I see subban and massé.
-
Great news !! we have two prospects that have ties with Boucher. He's a good PP guy and had not been for many injuries/illnesses in the MEM CUP, the Voltigeurs would'Ve at least made the finals !!
-
Apparently nobody listened.
-
Apparently the Habs are interested in Simon Després
http://www.cyberpresse.ca/sports/hockey/20...-avec-le-ch.php
Would make sense that the Habs look for a D if Gainey expects to lose a bunch.
few years ago, they were the team that talked the most with esposito...

here's our generation's Elvis momment.

an interesting comment was made in a blog somewhere maybe engels, if you are not going to bring Lever up as a head coach because he is anglophone then there is no point to keeping him. Bob needs a guy coaching the Dogs that he can bring up wheb he fires Martin. So here we go again but anglo only coaches need not apply, we don't care how good you are.
As a francophone I feel sorry to hear/read such comment.
I feel worse knowing it's kinda true.

I always feel like a kid at Christmas... The draft and free agent period can never come soon enough.

Plekanec files for arbitration

I can see a scenario where Gainey says to Plekanec: we'll give the money and terms you wish for as long as you quit you turtle neck and you stop playing like little girl !!
