  1. It drives me wild reading comments on NHL.com about how undeserving Subban is of winning the Norris, and how he's just all offence and all that bullshit.

Sad part is, I know if Subban wasn't black he wouldn't get half the criticism. Some people have to take a big step back and take there racist heads out of their asses.

Subban will continue to prove them wrong.

    Gah.

  2. I actually wasn't expecting him to be resigned but I guess now that I think about it, it does make sense. Bergevin loves his blue line depth, and Drewiske does add some pretty decent size.

We'll be losing a d man in kaberle anyway.

From the few games I saw, Drewiski played well enough to be a 7th defenseman. As long as this deal hovers around the million dollar mark for cap space (maybe less) It'll be alright.

  3. hopefully he does well, in Columbus, San Jose or wherever he gets traded to in next year or so.

I really don't see him being traded. The media puts a negative light on Subban saying he's too eccentric, but he's only young. He's maturing. If he ever gets traded, there better be one hell of a return.

  4. I think that's almost become markov's most important asset. He's been a top tier defenceman, he knows what it's like to play in that role in Montreal, perfect for showing Subban the ropes.

My only problem is that, Subban grows at an explosive rate, and I wonder if Markov will have anything to teach him in a year or two. By that time, my hunch is that markov's game will have slowed even more, an his value will be no where near what it is now. That's the only reason I wonder if trading him would be a good idea. I hate watching an assets value pine away, when a good return might have been possible before. This goes for Gionta as well.

  5. I've noticed a few articles recently about the Habs using the boatload of draft picks they have to move up in the draft. Possibly enough to get a top 10 pick.

Moving up seems interesting to me, looking at the possibility of drafting a guy like Valeri Nichuskin. And not to say its a good idea, but what about packing a guy like Markov with a couple second rounders to retain the other picks?

I think this should be an interesting draft, considering the 3 picks we have in (I think it's) the top 36. Either way, I trust Timmins and Bergevin with whatever moves they make.

  6. Coming soon

    Tom Bozon

    Danny Kristo

    Sebastian Collberg

    Darren Dietz

    Charles Hudon

    No Smurfs there.

    Please draft Frederik Gauthier.

No smurfs maybe, but Kristo, Hudon an Collberg are all around 5'10, not big. Still love the prospects though.

I like Gauthier as you said, but I wonder if we could move up just enough to draft Anthony Mantha? He had a beast year in the Q.

  7. Not a bad contract.

Just a player who completely vanished after he signed it.

That's what I'm thinking. I like desharnais, and actually thought the signing was alright at the time he signed it, but he needs to bring more since he's small and has no grit. Look at Bourque. 3.3 million, similar production and he brings a physical game. Lets just hope DD can bounce back

  8. I think Desharnais will be hard to move for any decent return. Not many will be willing to take on a 3.5 million dollar cap hit for a small one dimensional player who just had a bad season. Is it worth moving him now or better to wait? I mean his value probably won't get worse than what it is now.
