Someone in another post mentioned that Boom Boom died willingly(sp?) so he could go get those guys to see his shirt being retired. Something very special happend that night. I can feel it. Just watching all the old timers sitting there proud as ever. Am I ######ed, or did something seriously happen. The ghost's are back. We live and breathe it here in Habs land. Theo was on the verge of being the next Dryden, Roy, plante,.....not really sure why, maby that vezina trophy he got really early aka(the curse), and never lived up to.. It's crazy pressure, but the truth is he will never be that. He's not as good as he was made out to be. Just that thought made us habs fans froth at the mouth, because we are used to being the best.......and you can't blame us.......Montreal produces championship hockey teams...any less and we are pissed. So, don't get on our ass for being passionate about Theo, negative or positive, that's how we do it here. Nothing against you Sniper......but to us, losing Theo was like losing a long time girlfriend. There was good times and there was bad times.......we need to talk about it, it's our therapy As for Denver and Theo...........well, let me just say.............you'll see....................

If it works financiallyfor the nhl, it's all good with me. What I don't understand is how some teams are loaded with talent but are well within the Caps means. The habs for some reason are OR were pushing the limit and not really icing a team with a lot of talent. Now with Theo gone, we can fix that.......We have too many rookies, and no pure raw talent that shows up every night to be pushing the salary cap. I'm sure Bob will fix that come next season........

If we are going to use this platoon thing you guys are all talking about, no time like the present to put it into action........ I think Gainey just wanted to get rid of THEO AND aBBY WAS THE BEST he could get. Don't get me wrong I think it's a great deal and Abby is probably abetter goalie then Theo at this point........but as for problems,bcause of the play of Huet thus far, who cares....If Huet keeps it up Gainey will just get rid of Abby next year ......... I see that happening more then anything else..........Hopefully he'll at least be good enough to yeild a great return.......
