  1. Read the article, really doesn't seem like a big deal. With those Olympic tests, you can get busted for using cold medicine.

If a player is smart they're not shooting up before every game....this I understand. It just sounds a little more then cold medicine in this situation...

  2. Hey, a quick heads up for those that can catch the Pens and Rangers game.......

No matter what happens in the game you know that Orr and Cairns are going to scrap tonight.....

    Should be a good one.

Nevermind Colton Orr is a scratch tonight......bummer!!

  3. How dare you. Its sad to say that even our flamming mule 3rd jerseys look nicer than yours. Iginla has always been a 2nd half player and it is the 2nd half now. I dont see how your going to beat calgary at home even with theodore. Enjoy the dump and chase, hit n grind hockey :) It will probably be the most physical game you will get to watch all season. But hey what can you expect from a team lead by a washed up 5"11 fin.

OHHHHHHHHHHHH you poor guy...........the hole your sitting in just gets deeper and deeper...........

    Flaming Mule..............................??????????????????????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

Actually I couldn't of said it better myself.......

  4. haha you habs fans are funny... 3-1 flames

    iginla, phaneuf(PP), amonte

    riberio(PP)

    Reinprecht-Lombardi-Iginla (Much talked about lately)

Huselius-Langkow-Amonte (Langkow and Huselius will always play together)

Nilson-Yelle-McCarty (Probably the best defensive line in the league)

Simon-Kobasew-Donovan (No Weimer woot, All 3 of these guys are overdue for a goal)

Phaneuf-Warrener (Hamerlik is Back and will play with Lord Dion)

Leopold-Robyn Regehr (Leopold is so overrated)

Ference-Richie Regher (Richie to omaha after the game, Might play if hammer is gametime decision) Also This is by far the weakest dline for the flames.. worst combination sutter has ever created.

I saw 3 articles in the paper stating hamerlik would play tonight.. but he did the same thing against the Rangers and ended up missing more time because of it.

Kerplunk.......I don't do this often but i'm putting a curse on you.

.........................Your Flames are doomed for the next three games including this one......

    sorry

  5. Girlfriend is on her way over...

Unfortunately, she hates hockey. I may be denied strictly out of spite.

    Dude? C'mon

Happy 24th Birthday to Mike Komisarek. Gainey has said today this is a big chance for you, use your ice time well and pot your first NHL goal.

Komi is playing? Nice.....I'd like to change my prediction.

    6-2 HABS

    Ribero-hat trick

    Bulis

    Ryder

    KOMI

    5 point night for Bulis

  6. Uuu i too would like Ottawa for the lack of the Habs going far... But Philly has more depth than Ottawa... weve seen it's just about taking out Anderson and either Spezza or Havlat and not even Chara with Redden would hold off any team in 7 games! Philly was playing well with 10 rooks and freshmen! thats depth!

Philly and Theo are the same.................one round and then..................CHOKE!!!!!

Would never put money on either of them!!!!

  7. I was flipping channels tonight and I came across a sports show called"The best damn sports show period"

    on FSN.

Roenick was on with all the other dudes on the show. Crying about USA not inviting him to the olympics. Being all chipper and playing the camera like he's Tom Cruise or something. It looks like he hired a stylist bcause he was wearing the (gayest) shirt I've ever seen with Tom Jones sparkles on it. Saying that his son is pissed and when he grows up he(his son) is going to beat up the dudes that picked the usa team.

Then if that wasn't enough...............................................................they showed a clip of a game when there was a delay in los angeles because the glass broke........20 minutes went by and the crowd was getting restless so the stadium started to play a song called "you should be dancin"

Guess who starts dancing around the ice like a little disco fairy.....He looked like such a loser....a must see if anyone can find it

He is losin it big time

  8. Quoted from cbs.sportsline.com (1/17/06) by: SportsLine.com staff

"According to the Ottawa Sun, the Canadiens are working on a deal to send G Jose Theodore to the Avs in a three-way deal that could include the Penguins. Pittsburgh would get David Aebischer from Colorado, while Montreal would get a No. 1 pick and another player."

I'd take that deal if I am Colorado, getting rid of Aebischer and not having to send Svatos or Liles with him. I'm not sure how well MTL would do though, Huet played well against Colorado, but I don't think he's redy to be an everyday guy quite yet. It would improve Pitt's goaltending a ton.

who do we get ????? and from who do we get the pick from?

I think Fleury is great he just needs some defense? These rumours aren't making much sense but the fact that so many of them are out there something is going on.

BG is trying to get us something good I can feel it.....

  9. I wonder if BG remembers the days he was playing in Montreal and he was on a line with himself,Carbo and Nilan. Now I wonder if BG remembers his feeling of being "protected" while he was on the ice. My question(or statement) is does anyone else think BG will bring in an enforcer? I know the NHL is different now, but teams still have muscle to put out there if needed whereas we do not. Any feelings?

I agree........but in the new NHL it will be important to have someone that can play!!!!

If we can find it I'm all for it. It really intensifies the game and seems to bring up the play of the entire team.

I love Garth Murray for that......He may not be Probert but I love the fact he's willing to drop the gloves.....who out there is a chris nilan type. What's Garth's history.....Does he fight often? Maby we already have that player....he just hasn't had the chance to kick someones butt yet.

the thing that stinks is he can't be that talented b/c then you start to cross over into the "we don't want you fighting cause we need you on the ice" bull^$#$

  10. We should hope that Theo would play well at some point this season, get his trade value up..........I think this streak will last for the habs. I'm still sticking to my thoughts on Theo though. He will be a hot for a short little stint and then crash again.

He is not and never will be reliable.......If we get Schremp and Bergeron who has more goals then almost all the habs is fine by me even if he is short at 5'10......we need him on our blue line.

I say do it..........get the team some good offense let ty Conklin or huet play the remainder of the season with a great team in front of them........sign Luongo which you know is going to happen next year......WIN THE CUP!!!

I say trade Theo now if that deal is really on the table.......... It won't come back in our faces either because Theo will bring his roller coaster career to Edmonton and we can listen to them cry about it!!!!

They just fired Julien because him and Theodore weren't clicking... I'd say a trade would be ridiculous now. Gainey already picked sides and has had Theodore in the net for 2 victories against 2 good teams... seems Theodore is paying Gainey back for his confidence.

You could look at that the other way too......Say Gainey was in talks with a team about Theo and Julien's benching him for three straight games............sounds to me more like Gainey and Julien were not on the same page......

    Confidence? I don't think Gainey's buying......................more like selling

Go Theo Go .....get us a good return!!!!!!!

  11. Well I certainly haven't. I love the kid! And I hope he can start ripping it up in hamilton, or better yet bring him up... the only thing is the roster is pretty good the way it is.. I dunno, switching perez for kosty might be ok.

I hope they bring Perez up. He was doing so well with Koivu and Kovalev.........after the injuries they never got a chance to get that going again.

I don't think he's doing that great in Hamilton.........his head space must be bad after julien started benching him......

Time will tell.....Gainey said something about calling him up when he proves he's ready to come back......that's not really happening at the moment.

He has 2 assists in 6 games in Hamilton

  12. Before I talk about Carbo and want to make it clear I am 100% behind the change of coach. This has been in the cards for a while now and Gainey is correct in making the change rather than imploding a whole team. I truly believe they have a very good core.

But, I am of two minds re: Carbo.

Yes he was a premier defensive player. Yes he was good at faceoffs, blocking shots, PK. Yes he was a leader. And he can teach all that.

But he seemed, at least to me, to be a prima donna. He would stand next to the goalie before the game and wait, like a king for his subjects to come and bow before him and kiss his hand, for the players to ritually come over to the goalie and him for a stick touching of some sort.

With all this in mind, I am worried as to how good a coach he really will be. Yes he has worked as an assistant but that's all. Can he control a whole team? All the responsibilities that go with it? Will he blow his top ala Therrien and lose his players? Does he have a game plan that helps the offense? Will he be a prima donna coach?

    We'll find out next year.

You don't have to wait for next year, just ask jacques Demers eight years ago!

And to think just a few months ago Carbonneau was contemplating retirement to try his hand at coaching. Jacques Demers, his former coach in Montreal when the Canadiens won the Stanley Cup in 1993, has asked Carbonneau to become his assistant in Tampa Bay.

"I think Guy Carbonneau can make me a better coach," said Demers, paying his former captain the ultimate compliment. And that’s from a guy who has two Jack Adams trophies as the NHL’s coach of the year to go with his Stanley Cup ring.
