    It was funny not for the insults. It was funny because nobody knew what was going on. Insulting others is just not nice! I believe she is un-banned now.

    Yup, nothing like a little hot earl during a game. It sort of relaxes me when I am shouting GO HABS GO.

    That would be sweet! I think there are many Habs that should be wanting to show they want more playing time. Rookies get more ice time which will be excellent to watch.

    Definetly, this is game will make or break Bonk's stay in Montreal. If he cant produce tonight, the team should look at other options.

    Bonk was brought in to play against Sundin and Joe Thorton. It is unfair to have Saku have to go up against the Giants as it just wears him down.

    I think you have to keep Bonk for a year and not worry too much. If the team tinkers with a small trade, puts Dags on waivers, acquires a Ninnima or another defenceman it wouldn't bother me. Losing against the Sabre, that would bother me.

    GO HABS GO.

  5. Thanks for the responses guys. I have French relatives that never talk about this as to them it is not important. I just kind of feel like English/French in Canada is in a war because of IDIOTS like foreign and French player hater Don Cherry and T-DOT media that consistantly trash French people. Sometimes I m embarrasd living close to T-DOT.

    This is sort of like the old days with Western Canadians that felt like they were not included in Canada. Guess we all have beefs with confederation and just have to work together to centre out the biggots and people who would divide us. I know this is a hockey board, but just wondered what my fellow habs fans felt about this. Canada is pretty big hockey nation and could probably put together a French and English team. Would make for fun arguements here. :)

    I think most Quebecers are against seperating, but a lot of us vote for the Bloc in the federal elections so that we have a voice in parliament. Also, what are the other options? not to get too political, but the Liberals steal from us, the conservatives are pretty much republicans, and the NDP is a pure joke.....

    :clap::clap: Good Post.

    I feel like I walk around all day with Martins hand in my back pocket. Harper would have us all in Iraq toting guns and Layton would go on a spending spree...

    A voice in parliment is good if it has teeth. Did the Bloc do anything to help Quebec in the last year? All I saw was bickering and shouting between all four parties with nothing really accomplished for anyone except another election.

    I really would not want to see Canada create groups like in the USA where they have for example city blocks or streets either Republican or Democrat. That really confused me as I would hope all Americans would stick together to kick ass when required. I watched this last USA Federal Election where they showed how people moved into neighborhoods by how neighbors voted.

    Never will I judge a fellow Canadian by how they vote, live or what province they are from as we have to stick together to protect our nation. I just get confused when I see a party bent on the destruction of Canada get so many votes from the citizens of Quebec.

    i guess i could see leaving bonk on the third (just on the basis that you want to keep a stronger shut-down line if we are weakened). If so, put plex on 1st, ribs on second, begin on 3rd wing, sundstrom winging on 4th and lapierre or locke centering 4th

    Hi simonus

    Wow, Bonk at #1centre... I think they need speed and grit like Saku has. Begin or Plek might be the answer but you are right and it will probably be Bonk. Corey Locke brought up to the big club would be interesting as he has wheels and can score. I really like the Bulis-Begin-Sundstrom line.

    Locke doesn't really have wheels, he is a slow playmaking center that has some finish. He's more of a Ribeiro type minus the attitude and is smaller at 5'9 170lbs.

    hmmmm.. he looked pretty quick to me. I really only notice him in the other teams offensive zone so maybe it is his playmaking that makes him look quick. I can honestly say I have never seen him bring a puck up to centre ice so his overall speed might be decieving to my eyes. :) Sort of like Ribero, I never notice him in the Habs defensive end checking anybody, but I do see him in the offensive zone a lot.

He'll either draw penalties or drive goalies nuts...Nobody will be able to move him. Dags is good in the shootouts but i'd rather try and win in regulation

    :clap::clap::clap: YES!

    It seemed to me that only Kovalev wanted to stand in front of the net or crash the net consistantly. Even if Dags wanted to stand in front it would help. Too many long shots from the point right at goalies who see the puck all the way.

    Right on Howie_Morenz. It would be nice if Gainey called Zed into the office and asked him how he felt about it and Zed was OK. I agree that McLaren would be an asset. As a matter of fact, for a long time now I've wanted McLaren on the Habs. However, realizing that the Zednik situation would make it difficult, I usually have been known to sigh.

    In reference to Ozolinsh, it was mentioned on the Team 990 and is probably nonsense. I know I posted it but rumour or truth it was still relevant to Montreal. So I did.

    BTW: My gut feeling says that Gainey is going to pull the trigger on something. 4th period reports he's closely waching the waiver wire. Maybe Huselius might garner some interest. If so, let's pray he was terrible because he needed a change.

    hehehehe I had a gut feeling that Gainey was going to do something. Now I am never going to listen to my gut again as it LIES!

    I think it sucks how much the game has sped up, as it has taken a lot of the physical play out of the game. There are so few good, hard body checks these days. Hockey has always been a combination of speed, skill, and physicality.

    Guys play injured quite a bit. Some dumb dumb might claim him just like the dumb dumb in Columbus who takes our prospects.

    You are right about the checking. This is a great feature of hockey. One thing I have noticed recently is that checking is making a comeback. This is why I like Bulis as he never lets up and hands out some nice bodychecks. Problem is Refs keep giving him penalties for clean checks.

    grrr...

    :can::hlogo::can:

    Not living in the FUN province of Canada, are the people of Quebec really against all of Canada? It just baffles my mind how people can vote for a party that has no chance of power in Canada and exists only to separate all of us. (I know the rest of the political clowns don't deserve our vote either, but they will not divide our country)

    Do people in Quebec really hate the rest of Canada by voting this way? I am only curious as I cannot fathom My Canada without Quebec. Quebec is just as important as all other provinces and territories to me. My fathers side of the family grew up in Val d'Or and I don't get this from my cousins, aunts and uncles. Just trying to figure out why so many people in Quebec hates the rest of Canada.

  12. I don't care who is in the Habs uniforms tonight as I have popcorn ready and already chanting Go Habs Go!

    Sorry gang, 35 years of saying Go Habs Go and cheering for the team is fun for me. My spirit has never been broken and never will, Montreal will win tonight. The fabulous Habs talk forum is a fun place to be when hockey is being played.

    GO HABS GO!

    hey there howie,

    the apparent strength of the bulis-begin-sundstrom line allows bonk to be moved.... now if one thinks that Bonk has lost julien's confidence (which might be a reasonable supposition), maybe bonk goes to 4th and ribs gets first or 2nd line action, else bonk is the no.1... i mean he's done that before...

    I am strangely intrigued in tonights game, its like a challenge on some hockey video game.... beat the sabres without your top 3 skaters.

    hehehehe Yup, I used to pick out the weakest team on my old PS2 NHL hockey game and make heroes out of unknowns.

    One thing that does excite me is that the rookies should get lots of ice time and we will get to see how well they developed so far under pressure situations.

    If there are some more lateral moves, or maybe the Bs put together some sort of draft/prospect package for a stronger player then they are still at least dreaming about being a competitive team.

    Good point about the Rangers. I cannot stand Glen Sather and his band of spenders, but I will give him credit for cleaning house before the lockout. Rangers look good right now, but I will reserve judgement on how good they are until Feb. at the earliest. I was so overconfident that Montreal was as good as the record and now I have a big EGG on my face.:o

    Thorton will do well on the sharks as they have offensive depth and the West really likes free wheeling hockey. He should do well.

    Why is it media and fans only think of past history.

    Brad May aka designated VANCOUVER goon who put the bounty on Moore is doing quite nicely in Colorado. Zed is a big boy, he can take care of himself and do we all like who we work with?:) Plus last time I looked Zed is not the GM. Good point though as I forgot about the cheap shot.
