  1. According to Sportsnet's Hockey Central panel, George Laraque may get an offer from Montreal this summer. Laraque openly admitted that he'd like to play in Montreal. http://www2.sportsnet.ca/blogs/hockeycentr..._qualifying_of/
  2. Bouillon's contract story is tough to understand. His agent says that he wants a short term contract, because he wants to be a UFA as often as possible, then Bouillon says he wants a long term deal... From what I heard, he's asking around 1.5-1.8 per season for 3 years, and some teams (Atlanta and Pittsburgh) are wanting to sign him at that price. At that price (he would probably sign for 1.5 with Mtl), we can't afford to let him go. He's a warrior who shows up every night, and he really is important for us especially in the new NHL.
  3. Anybody here knows if Gainey offered Ribeiro a qualifying offer? Bulis, Sundstrom and Simpson have not received one, but no news about Ribeiro...
  4. Montreal goalie David Aebischer has accepted Montreal's $ 2 millions qualifying offer, LCN reports. The Habs had signed French goalie Cristobal Huet earlier in the day. But Gainey also said that a trade involving Aebischer in the week to come is a possibility. Aebischer said, after Montreal's elimination against Carolina, that he will not accept a back up role in 06-07. A trade to come? http://lcn.canoe.com/lcn/sports/nouvelles/...626-092416.html
  5. LCN reports that Aebischer accepted his $ 2 millions qualifying offer. http://lcn.canoe.com/lcn/sports/nouvelles/archives/2006/06/20060626-092416.html ://http://lcn.canoe.com/lcn/sports/nou...26-092416.html ://http://lcn.canoe.com/lcn/sports/nou...26-092416.html
  6. Sunny signed a deal with MoDo of the SEL. He played there before coming to the NHL. http://www.eurohockey.net/transfers/transf...tname=S&days=31
  7. I don't think it's that bad. I've read the article, and Sak said that he can see, but is bothered by the sunlight. I don't think that it's as bad as Bryan Berard's injury. He may not get a full recovery, but neither did Berard, and he's still playing at a good level. Saku will come back even stronger, and even if it doesn't get back as it was, he still can get a surgery, and be OK like Berard. 8. Anybody here read Bertrand Raymond's article in Le Journal de Montréal today? He had an interview with Mr. Gillett. The day after game 3, Mr. Gillett and his wife, Rose, went to a chic restaurant in downtown Montréal. There was also players from the Hurricanes eating there, including Justin Williams. It happenned that Mr. Gillett and his wife were sitting beside the Carolina players. Every player sitting at the table except one shook Mr. Gillett's hand: That player was Justin Williams. Gillett said that Williams didn't even look at him in the eyes. He said that he found Williams attitude very strange. Honestly, I was pissed after reading that article and I think that a guy like Rivet or Bégin should go and hit him hard into the boards(or open ice ). He injured our captain, he was disrepectful towards the owner... I think that it could bring the momentum to our side. Bertrand Raymond's article (French only)
  9. We'll probably see 7 defensemen if Bouillon is able to play. I like it when Bob uses 7 defensemen because we can see Kovalev play on 2 lines. It worked out pretty well against Toronto in the 2 straight games at home.
  10. We have to keep the faith! I'd rather be in our situation than in Atlanta's... There's 4 games that can bring us into the playoffs... Atlanta must win their 2 last plus hope that Tampa or Montreal loses. They have LOTS of pressure on them... Washington is never an easy team to beat, especially at home, and Ovie and Olie the Goalie will put on a show for the fans in the last home game... Plus, I don't see why we couldn't beat NJ, it's only a game, the crowd is gonna be crazy, Kovy is going to step up like he always does when it's crunch time... I BELIEVE! GO HABS GO!
  11. We can also clinch a playoff spot with a Tampa Bay loss in regulation tonight. Tampa has 90 points in 80 games. If they lose against Carolina tonight, they cannot get more than 82 points, and habs are already at 93. So there's 3 ways that we can clinch tonight: -A win vs. Buffalo (Abby in nets tonight by the way) -A Thrashers loss vs. Boston -A Lightning loss vs. Carolina (in regulation)
  12. Latendresse has been cut. He'll not be in the line-up tonight. RDS.ca
  13. Only RDS said that he was injured, i heard nothing else on this, so it must be a minor injury, may be he'll not play tonight as a precaution, but I think he'll be fine for October 5th.
  14. RDS just said that Sheldon Souray got injured to his left wrist, the same that sidelined him for the 2002-2003 season. I hope it's not serious, 'cause if it is, we're in deep trouble. Hainsey and Streit are too weak defensively to be 6th D-man.

  16. I'm so lost! On Canadiens.com they say 6PM ET, on Nhl.com 8PM . Nothing on CJAD, I go on espn.com, and they say 1-0 habs, end of 1st, but no summary, just the score. Anyway I hope that we'll see the goals on RDS tonight... http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/scoreboard Now they say 19:55 to go in the 2nd... [Edited on 2005/9/28 by jordy11]
  17. We want it back! Go on this link and sign! We need more than 73 signatures! http://www.petitiononline.com/HABSONG/petition.html
  18. Danis is going to start the game for the Habs and price will replace him at the middle of the contest.
  19. All the food in Club Desjardins is free. It's like private boxes, but you have a seat assigned. You don't need to be a season ticket holder to have free concession food.
  20. Hi, I'm new in there, somebody who was at the practice told me that Hainsey was real bad today and even got benched in 2nd period... That Hossa was still not giving his full effort... I just can't seem to figure what's in these guy's head... I mean, it's their last chance with the Habs, at least give your 100% in training camp... I'd really like to see Latendresse with Ribs and Rydsie... What a line it'd be... And just a question, was James Sanford there? Cause he's not on the image of the 2 teams rosters.
