I think Kovalev's knee is really bothering him more than he leads on about. He doesn't look the same out there. I know he's always been kind of a slow skater but it's even worse now.
Why can't this team win more then two games in a row?

I have that channel, but choose to never watch it. Wife watches Sens games there occasionally. I find all the sport news, bias for my teams, online. Still I have to read the nonsensical spews of these vermen that degrade the title analyst to the lowest form of jornalism known to man, only because you guys keep posting links to the mindless void of Toronto sports casting.
By the way, GO BEARS !!!! Da Bears
Hoping for a bowl and cup set this season!
I agree with you, I rarely watch that station.
Your Bears are going to lose this weekend against the underdog BUFFALO BILLS!!!!!!!! GO BILLS!!!!! LOL

Dan Jancevski is from windsor, he works out at my gym all the time. He's a good guy, pretty decent size and frame. Nice addition to Hamilton and could be a decent reserve defenceman if injuries do occur on the blueline. He was drafted by Dallas when gainey was GM, so Gainey must see something in him.

I would like to get rid of Zednik and Ribeiro but as mentioned before, we wouldn't get too much for them. I think we should just keep them for another season and try and trade them during the year. Richard Zednik had an off year and I really believe that he can bounce back this year. As for Ribeiro, it will be his third full season, I say give him one more chance and then see his progress throughout the year. Kostitsyn will make the team next year and this guy will definetly help out our offensive numbers.
I would like Gainey to make a move for a defenceman, such as Danny Markov.

Everybody wants to go and look for someone to blame, looks like you guys have some, if not many, have gone off and chosen to blame Rivet. Seriously, this series was lost 3 games ago, not on that shot.
Rivet has been solid all the way through and the guy bleeds bleu-blanc-rouge, so serously, leave it be.
True man, anybody in that position would have put there stick out to try and redirect the shot. Most of the times in deflects up into the crowd or away from the net and then theres the bad chance that it goes into the net.
-
that sucked, and oh all the people to score it has to be that baby Stillman. Go Devils, I hope they light up Carolina and Cam Ward.
Next year should be a bit more promising, but this team still needs some help in the scoring department.

I agree completely, we also know that the Bonk with Higgins and Ryder was terrible. next game Kosty is in our lines should be as follows...Unless Begin is available.
1. Perezhogin Plekanek Zednik
2a. Bulis Ribeiro Kovalev (unless they play the way they have, then they might as well sit)
2b. Kostytsin Higgins Ryder
3. Murray Bonk Sundstrom.
If Begin can play I would even consider sititng one of Murray or Sunny and keeping Kosty in, we need the offense and the creativity.
Well put, i think Kostitsyn could be a valuable player in this series, if he plays. Couldn't really hurt us anyways.

THAT SUCKED BIG TIME
I"M SO PiSSED right now.......There was great effort by some
Plex, Perezhogin, Zednik, Bouillon and Dandenault were all great
On the other end of the spectrum, Kovalev, Ribeiro, Rivet Sourray, Higgins were all terrible.
We're going to need a much better effort to win any more games in this one
Exactly right those players were awesome tonight. Especially Tomas Plecanek and Alexander Perezhogin, those two guys are gonna be really good!!!!
-
Horrible first period, awesome second period, bad third period.
-
I really hope Kostitsyn is dressed for next game, or at least Maxime Lapierre for some energy.
Did Mark Streit even play? If you had Andrei Kostitsyn he wouldn't harm the teams play cause obviously Streit and doubling Kovalev's shifts wasn't the answer.
-
Wallin was practically tackling Huet over, you guys probably won't agree but that goal shouldn't have counted either
-
Poor canes.. Refs in montreal... do they even get that they were handed a game by the refs?
In any case, the reason it was not in the goal is because the cane was pushing Huet away with his leg... could have been interference... so really, they got a break
I believe they got a break too. I say if they want to crowd Huet, montreal should keep on getting in front of Ward. Just enough to get in his way and piss him off, but not too much so we don't get called for goaltender interference.
We gave up way too many odd many rushes in the 2nd. We need to be more disciplined. I'm not very confident about the outcome of this game. Unlike the first 3 games of the series we have been clearly outplayed tonight.I agree with you, but remember before in the 01-02 playoffs and the 03-04 playoffs we always got outplayed and out-shot and some how came out with the victory.
-
Brind'Amour practically pushed Huet out of the crease to get the goal.
-
I think Kovalev should have shot that puck, he does have one of the best shots in the game.
Other than that, great job by the boys to tie it up!!!
-
Why is Streit in the lineup, he is a going to be a non-factor the whole game. He isn't a energy guy who can change the game with a goal or a big hit.
I would have prefered Kostitsyn or Lapierre
-
Don Cherry is an idiot.
Completely agree
-
What an effortless period.
They look terrible out there, c'mon guys show some heart for the people that paid all that money to see the game.
And for koivu
-
I cant see Streit playing alot tonight.
-
I noticed in this whole series that everytime a Carolina player gets hit or falls to the ground there always complaining to the ref for a penalty. I noticed last night when Komisarek gave a good hit to Brind'Amour and then Brind'Amour stopped and complained to the ref about a call that should have been made.
-
Bonk played pretty good tonight, maybe consider playing him on the top line and have murray move to center and Downey in his place on the wing.
-
True, you have to see CBC and above all coaches corners as the Leafs hockey channel. I'll have to admit I was surprised to see them following Carolina so eagerly, giving all the interviews to Carolina players. But Leaf fans want the Habs to lose just like I always have cheered against them in the playoffs.
If you can put on RDS or mute the tv and play the radio if the time delays don't mess it up too much.
Sucks that tax payers that aren't Leaf fans have to support this channel.
I know, it really sucks!!
-
Kaos, passionate Habs fans come on here to celebrate or vent, as the situation dictates. You should know this as well as anyone. No need to get edgy.
And if there's a reason to vent, it's Don Cherry. Yes, he's just a commentator, but senility and age have taken his best years away from him, and he's always out of his comfort zone when he's working a game other than a Leafs' game.
So you should just relax a little.
Thanks for the support, I just get pissed when they do that during a game that is being shown throughout the country.
-
Holy shit, enough with the Don Cherry bullshit. He's a hockey commentator. He talks about hockey. Not just what game the CBC is showing. Give it a rest
But if it was Toronto, they wouldn't stop talking about the game.
-
Worst reffing, I tell you they are really turning me off hockey. Every underdog team is going to have to contend with Bettmans rigged games as well as the stastistical disadvantages. No penalty on Koivu getting speared in the eye and they go on to call every penalty under the sun. At the beginning of the game the impression was they put the whistles away, but I guess that was only for the Canes.
It was fun but this game was set up for the Canes to get back in. I really got a kick out of Stillman saying that they were waiting for their power play goal during the intermission. This just after he elbowed Markov in the face and wasn't penalized.
Way to go Habs it was a good game all things considered.
True about Bettman. You know he doesn't want one of his down south hillbilly teams to get swept in the first round.

We showed no effort tonight. Belfour did make some nice saves, but we also didn't really put alot of pressure on him either.
