Montreal kills off a huge four minute powerplay at the end of the game and the refs pay them back by giving Carolina another chance again in OT.
I mean Vasicek is a big guy and he gets hauled down by Plekanec who is prolly a foot smaller then him.
-
I hate when a game is decided by the officials.
Koivu gets his eye taken out with a stick, while the official is no more than 5 feet away and gets no call. But when baby Stillman gets hit, the official automatically calls it. I didn't even see any blood from Stillman.
-
If begin is ready to play for the start of the playoffs, how do you guys think the lines should go.
Higgins Koivu Ryder
Kovalev Riberio Zednik
Bulis Plekanec Murray
Downey Bonk Begin
Markov Komisarek
Souray Rivet
Bouillon Dandenault
I love Alexander Perezhogin, but I would rather have experience in the playoffs. Then have Sundstrom and Simpson to be scratches as well.
Comments?

I agree with you cerebus. Montreal got into the playoffs by beating the maple leafs in that crucial two game series and then going on that winning streak. Tampa Bay has been inconsistent all year
-
I don't want to lose Bulis either, but Montreal has too many forwards.
-
I don't know if you guys answered the questioned on CJAD thats "who scored the 10,000 goal as a montreal canadien.
It was Sergei Berezin right?
-
What a game by the Habs, they played hard and got the win. What a great hit at the end of the game by Kovalev against that baby Tucker.
I sleeped so good last knowing that Montreal crushed the Maple Leafs chances of making the playoffs.

This thread made me laugh! Take huet's name out, insert Theodore, same thing 5 months ago. Unfortunately for Theo, and Huet they can't score goals themselves to help their cause! The bottom line is that if we don't get some offence going we will be on the outside looking in. The goaltending with Huet and Aebischer will be more than enoughn if some of our so called snipers could hit the net. We need more out of Koivu, kovalev, ribeiro, ryder etc if we have any hope of appearing in the post season.
That's exactly what I thought too.
We need some goals in order to compete, because you can't win alot of games 1-0 in this league.

Aren't any of you guys nervous about playing Toronto twice this week. I mean I want to be optimistic but we never play good against Toronto. But with two big wins against that team, at home, could build alot of confidence down the stretch.
-
It seems that the team and fans get on Huet when we lose or he doesn't get a shutout. The team in front of him is the problem. I think Huet is a good goalie, but the team has to score more than one goal a game in order to win in this league.
Last nights game was pathetic, one goal against the lowly Islanders, a team thats missing there number one defenceman in Zhitnik. It seems that the only players that score on this team anymore are the defence.
I liked the lines when we were on that winning streak after the olympic break.
The line that seemed to be playing really well together was the Bulis, Plekanec, and the Zednik line, I dont understand why they were split up.
Anyways, now we play Toronto, a team that we always struggle against in back to back games. Huet may not be a Number One goalie but he isn't falling off the cloud, he just needs some offensive help from players like Koivu, Zednik, Ryder, Ribeiro, etc....

Can someone clarify if Aebischer is RFA or UFA at the end of the year, I as i think most of you supsect that he is RFA but when the trade occured, the article on tsn.ca had him listed as UFA at seasons end, thus I ask if someone knows how to find out for sure.
Back on topic now. Judging by Sakus's comments after last game, I think the team will come to play against Washington, I'm looking for a big game, from Saku (he played well against Pitt and seemed to be turning it around) and Kovalev. They need to be the leaders and will be.
And of course, I'm expecting a big game from Huet as he proves everyone right and BG wrong for starting Abeischer last game.
GO HABS GO
Aebischer is a Restricted Free Agent at the end of the season
-
This is awful.
Koivu needs to step up and get this team going
-
this sucks
How many saves does Aebischer have to make to keep Montreal in the game.
-
How come we cannot score a damn goal.
-
worst anthem singer ever?
Yeah, that was pretty bad.

GO HABS GO
Another big game for the Habs, but looks like Monday against Tampa Bay may be bigger, but still important points against the Rangers.
I was watching TSN and they said that Aebischer and Simpson won't be in the lineup on saturday.
I mean, Aebischer won't be starting.
-
but i do understand that we should just forget about him and move on
-
do we REALLY need to talk about JT again???
see how some of u guys r!!! so immature sumtime
sorry, but we do, because he didn't even record a shutout this season.
-
Great game by the Habs. Jose who??????
It was great to see Plekanec get a goal, even if it was an empty net one, he deserved it.
Boston looked tired out there tonight, Thomas was the only one that really showed up for the game.
-
I agree, Bergeron just barrelled over Dandy's stick, and went down like Paris Hilton on a first date. Still, it could be a turning point, given the Bruins will have a full 2 min PP on a fresh sheet of ice, fully rested.
GO HABS GO!
GO PK GO!!!
Thats Funny, went down like Paris Hilton on a first date LOL.

GOOD JOB RIBS!
-That penalty wasn't Dand's fault, he didn't try to trip him.
-Healy is unbelievable, what an ass. I can't stand listening to him. If I still had RDS, I would be watching the game there even though I don't speak french.
Healy is the dumbass of the century
Couldn't agree with you more Prime Minister Koivu. Glenn Healy should not be broadcasting, who knows why TSN even hired him.
-
Tomas Plekanec is playing a great game tonight.
well, next game we might see Dandenault scratched and Simpson in the lineup for the game on Saturday.
-
Healy needs to shut up.
Yeah Ribeiro punched Boynton but Boynton shouldn't have went back and retaliated. He should have skated right to the bench.
Glenn Healy is an idiot, he's worse than Pierre McGuire
-
On the bright side, Reasoner most likely WON'T be playing tonight, so basically we'll be playing a Samsonov- and Thornton-less Boston Bruin team tonight. Sounds good to me.
:ghg:
Sounds good to me too

Another thing that bugged me tonight too was CBC.
I mean during the 3rd intermission Don Cherry wouldnt stop talking about the Buffalo and Philly game. If I wanted to watch and listen to analysis on that game I would have turned on TSN.
