  1. Here is a good article on the state of the organization. Also i like how he stands up for a certain player who has been going though a tough time. He also gives hope for the very near future. Check it out.

    Great artical brboo! Thank you.....

Reading something like this puts me in a great mood. The team is in good hands and everyone is on the same page and are all working towards the same goal.

I like the way he says, we are amying towards 2009 to take a run at our cup!!!!!! 100 years :hlogo:

  2. Are you guys sitting in the garage typing on your laptop while your car is running? Luongo would be a great update to Theo. Luongo is one of the best 5 or maybe even 3 goalies in the league. You can't look at numbers only. Yes Luongo has a better save % than Theo, but this isn't part of my argument. You recognize a good goalie to his style, the decisions he makes in a game. Overall, Luongo has a more consistent style. He lost so many games, but his style didn't change. The reason for Theo's inconsistency is the fact thathe gets nervous when he's loosing. He drops on his knees way too early, gets out to get the puck when he shouldn't and remains deep in his crease. Watch Luongo play and you'll see that if he goes down before the player makes a move, it will be because the player is within 5 feet and can't get it over his shoulder (Theodore would need to wait for the guy to be within 3 feet). His size is also an upgrade. And stats give you an idea, but it is so shallow. Ask any good goalie expert and they will all say that Luongo is technically ahead of Theo.

Another upside, Luongo isn't part of the habs' backstreet posse (Theo Ribs and Dags)

I agree...Thats why Luongo is on team canada going for Gold, and Theo will be at home going for a beer while watching Luongo on the ice... :hlogo:

  3. Hi guys... There are some strong rumors from a radio station Team 1260 here in Edmonton that BOb and kevin are in deep talks on Edmonton getting the rights to Jose Theodore....He says this is coming from a good and strong soures...

    Edmonton------- Jose Theodore

Montreal-------- Ty Conkin,George Laraque,Rob Schremp(US jr team) and one more player out of the Olers roster> Which BG is trying to add Marc-Andre Bergeron But K lowe is not giving in......

They also say that the same rumors are coming out of Montreal. Has anyone heard anything on this???

If we get Bergeron I will take this deal in a NY second.Bergeron is very good and Rob Schremp is going to be a super star in the NHL one day, and Conklin will be a good back-up for Huet and yes adding Big Laraque will add something that all of us have been looking for a long time.....

I say make the deal.... :hlogo:

  4. Its hockey night in Montreal:clap:

Well guys Im ready for our habs to get on the ice...Hopfully the boys are ready all so, and are well rested with some hunger to put some wins togeather and get back on some kind of a winning streak... I see we are still missing some key players but the team should be ready and get us a win tonight...Good luck HABS.:hlogo:

And Bonk has been playing hurt for a long time apparently, so I think I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and see what he can do when healthy.

I really don't understand why people watch the pond hockey ballerina and think he's a stellar player. Sure, he has great moves, and occasionally great vision, but he's a perimeter player, albeit with good skills, who gives half-efforts. Is this the kind of guy you want on the second line? He was buried in the playoffs and has been relatively ineffectual so far this season in comparison with his so-called good year.

Yes, when he tries, he can look good, but we don't see enough of it. All we have on our hands right now is a big ego who can't deliver.

My hope is that he was played like he was so he gets some trade value. This team has virtually zero Cup potential with him in the lineup.

Its simple, some players have showned us THUS FAR something different about our expectations of them.

Some, not many, specially Rivet have been playing way above expectations.

Many others are playing around in and around expectations with rooms to improved and Ribeiro and Ryder fit in there somewhere.

A few have been rather disapointing and should work really hard at making themselves better and that could include Bonk, Souray, Dagenais and Streit.

In this light of mine, I consider your denigration of Ribeiro overblowned, irrational and way too personel.

Good post PB... I agree 100%:hlogo:

    In English is.....

"If Michael Ryder had put in half the scoring chances I set up for him, the problem wouldn't be here anymore," he let slip yesterday.

His tone wasn't agressive but it still sounds bad. This type of commentary is unusual in an interview and it's also rare that a player says something of that sort while in private.

That's the article done by my first-class translating skills.

Is it possiable he said it as a joke- "If Michael Ryder had put in half the scoring chances I set up for him, the problem wouldn't be here anymore,"

    sounds like it to me.....:hlogo:

If thats the case why not sent both of them down to the Bulldogs for a week. Lots of ice time, built up confidence and have them ready for next Saturday.....:hlogo:

  8. I think all the Ribeiro haters are taking this a little bit to far with all of this. As I see it with the absence of Koivu in the line up Ribs is taking more of a leadership role here. What is he saying that all of a us don't already know? The team as of late is playing well and having lots and lots of scoreing chances BUT we are just not finshing!!! AS long as he did not point out one player (Ryder) and more as the whole team with the lack of scoring then I have no problem with this......

We did see a little bit of leadership last night from him. We needed the 2nd line to come out strong and he was a big part of the win with the two helpers fo Dags.....

What we need is a healthy team and full fan support for the players, coach and our GM.The winning will come back like it was at the beginning of the season....:hlogo:

  9. Good game from our boys tonight. Even playing with only half a team we played a full 60 minutes and got the victory. even though I lost two years of my life watching that 3rd period it was all worth it.

To the guy that said Souray was having his best game of the year? I will take your word for it because I did not see it. Never have I seen adefenseman loose the puck in his own end so many times and have a hard time getting that puck out when in trouble, like MR Souray!!!!:/)

We could all rest now and have a great week:hlogo:

Whats up with this 7 days off? This new age NHL is getting a little bit out of hand. But the timing could not of been better with all of our injuries, lots of time to rest and heel some of our players. A win is amust tonite!!!Or its going to be a lonnnnnnng week for all of us....

Im looking forward to watching Garon in net tonite. I was a big fan of him and wish him the best of luck.(not tonites game)

This is the one team that I can accept a loss against but with the Leafs closing in on us we need atleast 1 point. And we NEED both points against Buffalo. They should never have beaten us.

We lost both games against the sens with a full line up. Now were missing one of our best forward and defencmen....TUFF game tomo for our boys!!!!

Kovey and Markov will be missed......

Not to mention the total impartiality on the parts of both Bob Cole and Harry Neal in their play by play. They make me sick ... CBC is supposed to be our nations network. Bad enough we have the (T)oronto (S)ports (N)etwork ... I usually watch the Habs on RDS but for the sake of others in my household who don't understand french, I am subjected to the CBC Lafs network once in a blue moon when the Habs play Toronto.

Im from Alberta and do not speak or understand french, and I also watch all of the habs games on RDS even when habs and the maple laughs are on CBC. Can not stand more then 5 min listening to those 2 morons....

Funny thing is, with the way theo is playing this year,This thread will be on and off till the end of the season.....

Im not saying trade him. But I am looking down the road two years or so when he is gone, and i like what I see with Danis and Price as our two netminders!!!!!

  14. I for one am very dissappointed in theos performance last night. We out played those bums for 65 min and deserved the win, hands down. I did not expect much from Theo last night! He just does not play well againts the maple laughs. As for myself I am tied of being let down once again from Theo! Two more years and he is gone once and for all.Danis and Price will take over and take us to the promised land!!!!
