Since NB fought Folino last week his minutes have dropped dractically. Could it be that MT is:
a) sheltering NB because he may have a slight headache and doesn't need another bonk to the head?
b) punishing NB because he doesn't want him to fight?
c) feels that he cannot put Gilly and Emelin together?
The way I see it is that NB and Petry should be the 2nd pair, and play about 18-20 minutes per night. And if Gilly and Emelin can't be trusted to contribute as a 3rd pair one of them should go.

So they're going with Tuukka Rash again eh? I guess they'll never learn! The guy's a mental case and they should've gotten rid of him when his stock was sky high. Can you imagine if they stole any one (or more!) of EDM's #1's?? McDavid + Nurse perhaps? Now he's making 7+ and can't beat the Habs...Oh well, 5-3 good guys tonight!

I agree HR..I just can't understand why tinker with the lineup after the wash game? We played a great game that night. Was Carolina considered a throw away game and it became experiment night?

Just wondering: Say it were an OTT, NYR, or TB rather than Carolina, do you think MT would've still gone with the blender?

Not surprising at all...what's his next move though? Home to the KHL? St John's? Retire in the tropics?

I think we should go ahead with Condon, and start believing that our D core will make up for any of his difficiencies. We have to think that any potential move for a "quality, interim #1goalie" will cost us something. We're going to need the cap space that we already have(along with any $ that gets freed up along the way) for that deadline move MB would surely make. Just my opinion though..

I'm with CC 100% here. Markov can't play forever (let alone a full season/playoffs) Trading NB would not be a move I'd support. Our D is among the best in the NHL, and quite possibly the main reason for our success...now why would we trade a #2 LD? Soon as Markov slips, NB will become the #1 LD..We can't risk that for Simmonds. And to throw in Andrighetto to sweeten the deal is just absurd. We finally have a winger that can play with AG/LE on 2nd line and we're going to trade him too? Give your heads a shake if you're in favor of this deal. Trade deadline is not too far off, I'm sure MB will work something out where someone loans us a pending ufa sniper for a prospect and pick.

There ya go..I too would try Spud Jr on that wing. I wouldn't F with that 3rd line for all the tea in china. The 2nd line appears to be clicking as well. For the record, I love our man down units..all of em look 100% on point!

Asking Carr to play RW may be a tad bit risky, but it's not completely unfathomable, you think? Surely he's had to play RW somewhere..like Union College, on the pp? I mean it's not like asking the Janitor to run the Chemistry Lab right? MT jumbled everyone..now that's risky if you ask me. Weds and Thurs will be huge tests..we gotta get back on track asap

AG's line should get 3-5 more minutes of icetime! 2nd line has proven themselves as a legitimate threat since the Andrighetto call up. And what's with the blender? I get it that we're injured, but DD/Dale Weise almost playing 20 minutes against any top pair D is ridiculous! Those two and flash have been our best line..as a third line, they match up favorably with anyone! Why not try Carr alongside Plex and Max and put everyone else back where they belong. Holy Christ, I'm hoping this Carolina game was only an experiment, and MT comes back to reality! Because if we don't get this shitshow turned around, we could quite possibly lose nearly all of our remaining Dec games! And don't even get me started on Markov..with the heavy Dec schedule, where is he going to rest?

With Tinordi back up, is a deal imminent? I would hope that MB is trying to pkg Emelin so both Pateryn and Tinordi can bump up the pecking order.
How's this?: Emelin, Sherbak + 3rd rd pk for Simmonds?
