NB, team docs, MB, MT, and just about every other player that's commented have said that he's fine. But, as you say, this may be an ongoing trend for players to hide the true severity of a head injury. I guess we'll see if his game changes in the future (if even slightly). We'll notice, for sure

According to 690, Semin took his ex-teammates out on the town last night. Let's hope he got them all liquored up and met some of Kassian's cocaine pals, and then went to "breakfast" at 7am

Hahaha yes, she was right! Jenner even took a quick peek and saw that it was PK..maybe he thought there was no way PK would hit him? It looked like a Toyota prius running an intersection and getting t-boned by a cement truck! I suspect Emelin may be sitting again thurs, maybe Pateryn will bring his own cement truck?

Yes, Stoge, PK was an animal last night. Every time I looked PK was in full beast mode. Did you see Boone Jenner try to sneak his way by PK behind our net, and PK just destroyed him!

I agree MoLG, Scherbak seems rather frail and prior to his injuries, he hadn't done much in St John's either. That may be a sweetener I'd throw in at deadline time.

I wouldn't fret too much on the next 4-6 wks. The important thing is MVPrice heals completely before coming back. I trust our depth, our D, and believe it or not, our coaching.

With the injury bug hitting hard, it's up to the next man up to step in. I think we'll be just fine with Condon (4-5 games, then sit 1) just so long as he doesn't have to go 9 straight again. The real danger could be if one of our top 4 D goes down ( PK, AM, JP,NB) Otherwise, we're deep enough offensively to weather the storm. That's the key to our success thus far, imo....D, Goaltending, and every night somebody new steps up on offense.

Has anyone seen the twitter war between Jim Kyte and Gallagher? Not really a war, but Kyte made the idiotic assumption that BG and Brad f'n Marchant are players that are of the same ilk..dirty, cheapshot players that are protected by the league rules, and that he would've loved to play against them and seek retribution. He said that it's players like these that are the reason he doesn't watch nhl anymore. I told him that he ought to start watching more closely because BG and the prick Marchant are not even close to being similar players.

How is Kassian's injury coming along? It's too bad it wasn't an upper body injury so he could resume skating much sooner. Trouble is, the real damage is in between his ears

DSP has been doing great on 4th line..idk if he can cut it on 1st line. Semin probably can't skate with these guys. I wouldn't touch the 3rd line..who else is there to try should DSP fail? Flynn? nope. Holloway? what the hell, give em a shot

Yes I agree, we don't rely on anyone..not even MVPrice anymore. I'm actually looking forward to seeing more of Eller-Galchenyuk-Andrighetto..seems like they could gel better than any of the previous 6-7 rw's they've tried.

We have a top 3 penalty kill unit in the league, and Eller plays a significant role. I'd take his 6 goals in 20 gms while having a huge impact killing penalties, any day! MB says it's all about finding BALANCE, and every player has a role. Forgive him if he isn't Patrick Kane on the wing, ffs

No doubt. But from what I hear, and have seen all over Miami this off-season, AG likes the nightlife too..not so sure those two would be a good match? I'd love it if they were though

Yeah, same here, I like Pateryn a lot. But gotta say that I'm pleasantly surprised at Gillys play thus far. Emelin too. Tinordi may find the opportunity elsewhere. It's just a damn shame that we used a 1st round pick to select him, and he didn't pan out. It must be tough growing up in the shadow of a tough defensive defenseman at home. Maybe his road was too easy for him growing up, and he didn't learn mental toughness, idk? There's just too much missing from his game I think

Quick question: Where does Kassian go when he's healthy? Rehab? haha jk, but do we sit him upstairs? 2nd line might use a good kick in the ass?

It looks like the elbow was down on impact. That hit was just another "hockey play" imo. One big bastard taking on a small guy..LOVED Gallagher's response though! Kid's full of heart

I do not have a good feeling about this game, folks. You know how every year, some team comes into town, thoroughly dominates us, then leaves with an easy 6-1 victory? The Caps, on this particular night and circumstance, may be that team. Damn injury bug
