Hockey is a business PMAC. AM has been atrocious the last two playoffs. He's done as a top pair D and we should consider moving him while he still has some value. No GM in the league will keep a player for sentimental reasons. Especially in the Cap era. And hey, we can always bring him back to retire as a Hab.

I'm actually glad MB hasn't signed any of the UFA's! I don't think any of these guys would be our missing ingredient. If the right deal is to be made, it will be. If not, we cross our fingers and hope for the best from a few youngins. We'll still be a playoff team, with or without any potential trades.

Yeah an 18 year old not making a Nat'l team is far less critical than a 19 year old not making it. Det seems to find these Swedish gems every year, maybe it's our turn?

Do we do Markov a solid and trade him to a top contender so he can win a cup and retire? It's happened many times before..and he doesn't seem to have anything left in the tank. Ducks need a 3rd pairing guy after losing Beauchemin..Whatta ya say?..bring back a 2nd round pick from Ducks? Bolts? Preds? Blues?

My bad Don, I hadn't heard Vejdemo was 19. I apologize good sir..You're right, his omission is cause for some concern. I keep hearing he's a diamond in the rough though. Let's hope that applies and we find out sooner rather than later

Perron didn't work out playing with Syd or Malkin..I wouldn't think he'd thrive playing with Pleks or DD..I love that you'd sweep in to rape the Pens though!

Being drafted doesn't necessarily get you onto any wjc roster. How many '15-drafted Canadian boys will make it? Maybe 4-5? I suspect Sweden is no different. The Lake Placid tournament is basically the first tryout for each of the four teams entered. I would think that 80-90% of the roster will be selected after this tournament. I'm 90 minutes away from LP and have been to many of these games. Trust me when I say this: The boys play this tournament like it's make or break for them!

I gotta say that I can NOT wait to hear what that biased fk Jack Edwards will have to say about his beloved bruins this season! The big bad bruins are going to be among the bottom third in the league and I LOVE IT! I can hear the excuses from ol Jack already! And who knows, maybe Rene Rancourt will be forced to tone down the arrogance in his Nat'l Anthem fist pumps...like I sez, can NOT wait!!

Juulsen may get to play with hotshot American Austen Matthews this winter in Everett. Word is that it's either Swiss Pro League or the Silvertips for Matthews. That sure would speed up young Juulsen's development, I would think.
