Pittsburgh accepts.... I was looking to gain some offense for this season and Beech just didn't project well into my system. Brown will be a mainstay on my third line and will slot in nicely to my 2nd line after lemieux retires.
Thanks to washington for great negotiations!

apparently the devils are looking for a shake up for their team. The only untouchables seem to be paul martin, brodeur and Elias. Maybe there's a match there.
-
wow this news is absolutely horrible. With Kovalev out of the line-up I think you'll see lines like this:
Zednik-Koivu-Perez
Higgins-Ribeiro-Ryder
Sundstrom-Bonk-Bulis
Plekanec-Begin-Dagenais (**shudder**)
However, does anyone think Gainey might make a move now instead of later. If he already planned on making some moves this season maybe Kovy's injury is the incentive to go out there and make the move now.

Im disappointed not getting the win, but man was that good hockey. We dont get too many habs games being in leaf country, and was this ever a great game.
That being said we really need to figure out how to motivate these guys to score some goals in the first period.
-
sweet i called it
-
kovalev, ryder and perez?
-
Im going to go out on a limb... the game is going to be won in OT by a goal by Radek Bonk. Bonk will get the monkey off his back and score his first goal as a habs.

SCORES!!!!!!!!!!
HIGGINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

man this sucks... i can't believe they give begin the gate. That was totally a clean hit. I mean i could see them giving begin a penalty but 5 min and the game. This is gonig to end up costing us the game.
-
awful penalty, what was streit thinking...
with all these injuries you think we'd call someone up so dandy could play his natural position and streit could watch from the pressbox.

The Pittsburgh Penguins offer Philip Gould $141,600 for 3 years to be the General Manager of the Wilkes-Barre Penguins.

Pittsburgh unretires future hall of famer Mario Lemieux.... looks like we'll have to wait a year to put him in the HWL Hall of Fame.
-
I'll take an additional 1000 seats, since the guy before me neglected to do so

Looking to move the following players:
Chris Drury - 83-75-80 - retiring - 87 leadership
Looking for a late first round pick or equivalent prospect
Alexei Shkotov - 76-68-76 - 85 faceoff
Looking for a 3rd round pick
Brian Gionta - 77-70-77 - solid two way forward
looking for 2nd round pick
David Friedman - 48-81-65 - 23 year old Dman with 89 hitting
a more balanced Dman (can be older)
-
could you post what the change was, ive already updated my draft list and removed the people who were previously listed. thanks
-
i feel like mario might not be retiring just yet
-
what happens if we want to unretire any of these guys?
-
gah, i wish I could get this on tv
-
I have traded my 86oa pick to Carolina, see the trade board, so i guess Carolina is now on the clock
-
To Carolina
Pittsburgh 3rd round pick (86oa)
To Pittsburgh
Matej Trojovsky (25-52-49) unsigned prospect - 20 years old
Curtis Glencross (70-48-60) $500,000 for 2 years - 22 years old
There is no body on my board that warrants a 3rd round pick so I trade it for a couple of prospects who I have rated fairly high. Both should find spots on my AHL team for the upcoming season.
-
There you go Ribs, thats the way to take the monkey off your back. Nothing helps out the team like a 2 goal night!
-
trade is confirmed, not sure who's they were either but the pick numbers are correct.
