thunderbutt
I'm not sure if its been mentioned already, but Leksand with Ryder and Bouillon has advanced to Elitserien next season. With one game to go in Kvalserien, Leksand and Brynäs are five points ahead of third place Malmö. Ryder and Bouillon are first and third in scoring, with 12 (7-5-12) and 11 (2-9-11) points respectively in nine games. So it's not actually Habs players winning championships, but they took their team as far as possible.

Doktor Kosmos
I thought that I'd add something about Henrik Lundqvist, Frölunda's goalie. What is interesting is that he has played better hockey than any Swedish goalie has done in ages, and he has done so during a season that virtually every single expert calls the best Elite League season in the history of Swedish hockey. The question is if competition has ever been tougher? Lundqvist has broken a number of playoff records, namely these: * Most shutouts in a playoff: 6 (in 14 games) * Longest shutout streak: 170 minutes, 22 seconds. * Lowest GAA: 1.06 * Highest save percentage: 96.16 That is a good indication of what an outstanding season Lundqvist has had. Psycing
Does this goalie belong to any of the NHL teams?... I recognize the name, but, nothing rings a bell other than that.
ch_nl
The New York Rangers. But we have to remember that Lundqvist has played in the best europeans teams in ages. I can't remember a swedish team being so dominant. But he sure is a great goalie.
