This should b a good game. I'm sure both teams are a bit tired, but, know how important the stakes are here. That should give us a pretty gritty game if frustration sets in. :D . Should b a closer score though.

Glad I was wrong about the close score. Begin is really coming through for the team eh!?

Bulldogs beat reeling Road Runners

EDMONTON (CP) - Steve Begin scored a pair of third-period goals and Ron Hainsey added two goals and an assist as the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the sagging Edmonton Road Runners 5-1 in AHL play Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Plekanec also scored for Hamilton (31-27-7-5), which also beat Edmonton 7-3 on Friday night.

Jarret Stoll replied for the Road Runners (28-28-4-10), who didn't register a shot for the first 9:38 and fell to 2-9-0-3 in March.

Edmonton, which has won just twice in its last 21 games, is now four points back of Hamilton in the North Division and now on the outside looking in for a playoff position
