Game vs Maple Leafs

Yo,

I was actually at the game and would have to agree. Latendresse looked great. He had a couple of terrific rushes (even if one ended with a goaltender interference call) and his top-shelf PP goal was a beautiful shot. There were a couple of plays were he was stickhandling one-handed while fighting off a checker with the other arm. He also managed to lay 3-4 monster hits.

The Leafs line-up was a little cheap. The Habs only had one guy who was even 23 (Lavallee) and the rest were 21 and under, while the Leafs had a half-dozen 24 and 25 year-olds and only a few guys under 20.

Chipchura had a nice first period but wasn't much of a factor the rest of the game.

Mikus had a couple of very solid hits and was usually in the play offensively, though he seemed to have a tendency to wait up-ice for a breakout pass instead of helping out defensively. Maybe just my perspective...

Younger Kostistsyn didn't get much ice time early on but looked a little flashier in the 3rd period.

Price was solid, if unspectacular. The first goal was a little soft, though he seemed to be screened a bit. Just didn't have the whole bottom of the net covered. He actually made a really nice stop on the second goal before a second forward swept in and tucked home the rebound. The third goal was after a brutal giveaway by the Habs defencemen which lead to a breakaway, a nice move, and a bit of an undressing. Oh well... he did make a couple of very nice saves.
