puck7x
What were you expecting? The first time I ever saw a commercial for the show I knew it was crap , then I actually watched a full episode and found out that it really was crap .... But I was younger then and that was the best free TV nudity available at the time. :puke:
Quebecois
Speaking of American Cable shows, does anybody watch Curb Your Enthousiasm, I have heard good things and the co-creator of Seinfeld (Larry David) is the star. I haven't seen the show myself, but i am debating on getting Showcase so i can see re-runs.

un_habitant
does anyone remember the show "sports night?" it ran from 1998-2000. it was penned by the creator of "the west wing," aaron sorkin. all of its reviews were outstanding but ABC pulled the plug on it w/ out reason. i cant stand 99.9 % of whats on TV but this show was one of the best IMO.... they have the DVD set for sale and reruns play on comedy central. Quebecois
Curb your Enthousiasm? You sure you have that right? It's up for Best comedy at the Emmy's.I read some info about it and it says nothing about decorating. Are you talking about this particular show? http://www.hbo.com/larrydavid/

I too had heard good things about it, that's the only reason I watched a little of it. Problem is I'm just not used to going up to channel 40 when I'm channel surfing... so I regularly miss shows that play on Showcase. Curb... is funny, but it has it's own style. It's deadpan humor to the extreme, I don't remember hearing a laughing sound track... even Seinfeld had that. It's mostly funny observations about every day life kinda things... in that way exactly like the Seinfeld character. But no Kramer, no George... and so nowhere near as good as Seinfeld was IMO. If you get Showcase the show I'd recommend is Oz, a also highly acclaimed drama from HBO. Very good although Showcase is presently running the last season of the show, I'm pretty sure it's been cancelled. Too bad cuz it was really good, why is it that the bad shows stick and the good ones get cancelled? Ah well.
Quebecois
hmm i was hoping it would be more like Seinfeld. Oh well. Argh i need a good new comedy to come along, ever since Seinfeld there just hasn't been anything spectacular. Simpsons is good, but i need something else. I figured something was up when I saw the ads on TV when the show first began and took notice of the newspaper articles about it in subsequent years. Believe me, I won't miss this show once it goes off the air at the end of this season.
