Habs77
http://www.dallasstars.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=814 I know he's a first round bust so far, a 3rd-4th liner. But he's 6'2'' 220lbs, only 23, makes 1M, and Gainey has traded for him before. One wonders if Gainey would consider picking him up... if nothing else he'd provide more size and toughness instead of guys like Sundstrom, Juneau, Dackell who likely won't be back next year. Just a thought.
gazer
Sometimes I get the feeling that it is great if we can stack our team with lots of young players and he would kind of fit the bill.
TheAussiePosse
I'd love for Malhotra to play on the team. Just after we lose Sundstrom. And Dackell. Sure, Juneau too. Maybe Perreault, cos he's blocking up the Centres. Audette, because he likes getting hit (he asked Gauthier to hit him last game). And Blouin, because he looks funny. Hell, drop Czerkawski again because it feels good. And after all that, we can pick up Malhotra. Kilger-Malhotra-Ward would be a nice line ooh, even better idea: 3rd and 4th lines: Kilger-Malhotra-Ward Begin-Gratton-Langdon No-one gonna mess with us now
gazer
Good idea or bad idea he's gone, according to TSN Columbus picked him off waivers
Habs77
Columbus had a shot at him before us so we'll never know if Gainey would have taken him or not. That said, I'm sure he has tons of contacts left in Dallas and probably knew he was going to be put on waivers. If he really wanted him he could have given them an 8th rounder or something instead of them putting him on waivers and losing him for nothing at all. Or he could have made a deal with Pittsburgh to claim him since they're the last team in the league. I'm not crushed that we didn't get him, but definitely disappointed given the fact we could have gotten him for basically nothing had we really tried to get him. Ah well, who needs youth and size anyway... right?
Ghost # 1
Hey guys I totally think the :hlogo: should of picked up Manny malholtra... He IMO is cut from the same thread as Rico Fata, who is doing pretty good in Pittsburgh. What I mean by that is that this kid will be a good NHL'er some day... maybe not crank up good point totals, but who knows??? It was worth the shot considering some of the guys we're paying now for 2nd-3rd shots... :king:
