sakiqc
Current standings: # - Team - GP - Pts 7. Montreal 61 66 8. NY Islanders 60 66 9. Buffalo 61 63 Buffalo better not win in OT   In my books, Buffalo has what it takes to enter the playoff. Solid offense, good defense, great goalies. One of NYI or Buffalo must sink. I'd vote for NYI, so ahemm.. "go buffalo" :eyes: must win tonight :/) [Edited on 2004-2-26 by sakiqc]
puck7x
Buffalo must win? I dunno... They are getting too close for comfort. I'd say the Isles should win tonight , I think the Isles have a better shot at the playoffs then the Sabres , so go Isles! ... habs need to take care of their own bussiness and not worry what the other teams do. sakiqc
NYI take the 7th place, that's the sad news
Quebecois
I was cheering for NYI tonight, i don't care as much about seeding as just making the playoffs. The drop from 7 to 8 is miniscule compared to the drop from 8 to 9.

I think Buffalo might fly right by into 7th, and we'll be battling NYI for 8th... in which case tonight's result wasn't good for us. We'll see. The thing I really didn't want was for either team to win in OT... that would have been the worst possible outcome.

Buffalo might be far away ahead of us by the end of march. They have a great schedule in May. I doubt the last game of the season BUF @MTL will decide of a playoff spot. But I still wish it.. would be a really exciting game. As exciting as if we were winning the Cup. ok lol

Abby
8-2. Holy crap, what a thrashing. Let's hope that's a sign of things to come for Buffalo's remaining games!
