  1. How do these line combos help the situation? This is frustrating.
  2. Agree with all of the analysis on our troubles here, but I am trying to remain patient and not freak out not even 25% of the way in. It is a long year, and I really want to have the team rolling for the playoffs. We were extremely happy with the teams play down the stretch last year and then flat in the palyoffs so we know that our play right now is irrelevant other than holding our playoff spot (I'm still hoping for top 4). The next 2 games are the type that can turn a teams motivations around. Against an arch-rival, although struggling one, in Ottawa. If the team isnt motivated and working hard against the B's at the Bell Centre saturday, after the last embarrassment, I will be convinced there is a big problem.
  3. With regards to the PP, I find that Carbo doesnt do a good enough job of getting markov out with the plex line. The chemistry between markov and kovy is special, and we are missing too many opportunities to see it. I know the Koivu line is playing well, but on the PP we cant get better than Plex, Kovy, Kosty, Markov, insert-player-here.
  4. Think Selanne will get booed tonight?? lol....and he wont even know why.
  5. Jesus boys, I just saw a replay of AKos. lying motionless. Did it look like he got concussed badly? That kind of hit can change the way a guy plays, unfortunately.
  6. I think you'll be hearing a lot of crying from Old Man Cherry this year, and probably next as well.
  7. Hey fellas... good to be back. The game last night left kind of a sour taste, though there were some positive signs. Hopefully all is right tonight and we pull one out. I do expect a hard fought game though, and we'll have to equal their effort. Hopefully the difference in skill level shows.
  8. The 20 year old excuse is getting old. I certainly dont expect him to be the savior...just solid, as I know he can be. If he is old enough to be put in the position he is in, then he is old enough to accept blame when it is due. Last night was the 1st night I can truly say he let me down. He keeps his glove on the Richards shot and we win the game....no question. I am not blaming him for us being down in the series. All I said was he let me down last night. I expected him to rebound better after a questionable outing. Obviously, if we could score, we could have one. But certainly he didnt hold up his end of the deal. So we should be able to criticize him privately, on this board, regardless of his age. You mention it was not a "must win". Is that what it has come down to? He will get a free pass for a bad game in a non "must win" situation?? Well last night's game was pretty big, and we put ourselves in a whole. Price is due to steal one and I fully expect him to be in the net and to be solid. I really dont want to have to ask your opinion about a bad performance in game 4....because it certainly is a must-win, IMO. For the record, I would still bet my money on him rebounding tomorrow. Again, just disappointed it wasnt last night.

  10. One more thing... As much as I hate Cherry, he is right when he says we need to get in front of Biron. The guy can see everything, and we are making him look brilliant. He is stopping everything, but I have not seen him make any really great saves. We need to start really getting in his face..
  11. He didn't let you down tonight?? I have been rooting for him as much as anyone, and I expected big things out of him tonight. I would say he let me down. I still expect and want to see him start next game.
  12. You know, it's friggin' true. The one thing that has prevented us from winning the last 2 games, is burying our chances. So what do we do....we bench our consecutive leading goal scorer, indefinitely. I think he's earned the right to get a chance after 5 games out, and our offense struggling.
  13. I honestly can't believe how many CHANCES se have missed. Fack.
