I'd say Gorges was coming into his own.

This may not be popular, but as much as I hate the bruins I have go say they have earned my respect, this is great HOCKEY.

60 mins hard for us means sticking to the system, which in our case means low scoring safe boring to watch opportunistic hockey. I think last years Washington proved to us that foot on the pedal all game is easy to counter. It should be more like punch block punch for 60 mins, that us the only way we can win.

Trying to look for a reason to bump this thread, so I did a little stat digging from the regular season. I broke the 82 games into series of 7's, obviously wins and losses. So to sum it up here's what I came up with. So first of all we had 11 seven game series up to game 77 and the last 5. Round: 1. 4-3W 5. 1-4L 9. 1-4L 2. 4-2W 6. 1-4L 10. 4-0W 3. 4-0W 7. 4-2W 11.-2-4l 4. 4-2W 8. 3-4L 12. 3-2W Now I only noted the record based on how long it took them to loose or win 4 games, so not every game is accounted for, but just for the sake of accuracy, I'll brake it down including all games. 1. 4-3W 5. 2-5L 9. 2-5L 2. 4-3W 6. 3-4L 10. 6-1W 3. 5-2W 7. 4-3W 11.-2-5l 4. 5-2W 8. 3-4L 12. 3-2W So altogether the went 7-5 the rehearsal for the playoffs,it also shows that we should expect that whatever happens in this or any series were involved in will go 6 or 7 games. I know its not dominating, but if we stay in the same cycle, it allows a little bit of positivity to creep back our minds.

Price was a bit off tonight, not that I'm blaming him but normally probably 2 maybe 3 of these would have went in........speechless.

I'm a big fan of DD also, although I think he could use a game or 2 in the pressbox just to gain a perspective of what needs to be done as was done with PK earlier this year, it seemed to be very beneficial. It will also allow Halpern back into the lineup. When it's time to put DD back in he will be hungrier and wiser.

I'm very happy about the win, but this was the worst officiated game of the Playoffs so far, and I've pretty much watched all the games except the ones on at the same time as ours. If you want a definition of double standard this was it. This game is also shows exactly why Montreal was the most penalized team all year. I base my opinion on what they call on us, and by using those examples last night I counted about 11 penalties that Boston committed based on what they call on us. Now don't get me wrong I hate games that are constantly stopped to call weak penalties, I would much rather they let them play and only call the very obvious ones, but I'm not gonna be one of those people who complains about the refs when we loose, there is a serious problem here and eventually there going to hand the game to the other team.
