Ouch baby, very ouch ! Haha ... well yeah insurance move ... they should trade a forward for a Dman to make room for Kostitsyn and Latendresse instead of taking Traverse contract.

Latendresse should play a regular shift on the 3rd line with Plekanec and Jonhson and on the 2nd PP unit as an agitator in front of the net. If we get injuries on the top 2 lines or if somebody needs a lesson he can play a couple of games on the top lines. Bottom line is that Latendresse isn't a Superstar yet and that he could learn a lot more in the NHL than in the Q ... If people would stop looking at him like a savior for a minute, they could realize that he could give us a decent season (15g - 20a - 35 pts) with a lot of hits and that would be better than Bulis and Zednik put together.

To add to the insult ... Greece has a big total of 0 players from the NBA !

It's actually Zednik to WSH for a 3rd pick and a 4th pick tp PHO for Johnson. Two seperate trades.

Well ... he's saying Peca could be an option for MTL this morning. And he's saying we'll do a major trade in the next 2 weeks. I hope he's right, 'cause Bob got shafted big time this weekend ... Shanahan to NYR and Bell to San Jose.

I know we don't like him that much here, but I've been following his posts and some have been good for the UFA period. That being said, e1 and e2 just means that Bob is talking a little ... It seems Bob is looking at Shanahan first and that he might be talking to Peca in case he can't sign him. Perreault I just don't buy it, where would he play ? Do we have a 5th line ?

Well no one is ever a lock ... but Arnott probably got an offer from Bob but not for 5 years ! Elias got an offer but in the end took less to go back to the Devils. Shanahan probably has an offer, but in the end he has to accept it.

Why do you doubt it ? He's a nice fit in MTL, proven leader that can still put the puck in the net and is a power winger ... perfect for MTL.

Eklund is saying this morning that MTL is making a big push at Shanahan. Good news if true ... but he seems to think BOS is in the driver seat right now.

RIS is associated to RDS, it gives constant updates all day ... it's kinda like CTVNewsnet for CTV or RDI for Radio-Canada, etc.

I know, I know ... Eklund is crap, but I like seeing that BG is still working a little. Guerin would have to be very very cheap for me to endorse ... I like Peca, but can he be a 2nd C ? It's stupid ... in the NBA it's way better and gives more opportunities to GMs. The team that has the rights to the players can still offer more or match any offers and can go over the cap to resign it's players ... but at least if you can attract a RFA to your club you don't give away your whole future.

That's really a stupid rule IMO ... but the Salary Cap structure of the NHL isn't detailed enough to make a system like the NBA on RFA ... So forget about targeting a RFA this summer (or ever for that matter).

In the new CBA, do we have to really give 1st round picks for RFA ? Isn't it like the NBA in which you don't have to compensate, but the team that owns the right can match the offers ?

Man Theo's trade was suppose to give us Cap Space to make a splash this summer ... But 4.5 millions / year for 5 years is really too much ... Man the Owners / GMs haven't learned a thing from the Lock Out.
