Leafs Suck
Montreal Canadiens Did one of these a while ago and thought I'd update it. All players currently in the Montreal system. For skaters, the point-per-game total is listed, () is the # of games he played in that league. For goalies the save % is listed, games played are also listed in (). I decided only to include high profile leagues, ie NHL, AHL, IHL, ECHL, college leagues, Canadian junior leagues and senior European teams. daspin
Thats awesome bud. Very interesting thing to look at. Never in my years of posting on forums have a seen anyone do that. Great work. Extremely cool to see. One thing that stood out to me (for whatever reason) is the interesting fact that although by a small margin, Riberio outscored Koivu in his own country (Finland)... Something like that could add fuel to the Koivu vs Riberio drama fans like to drone on about.
Leafs Suck
He did but look at the GP. Thats the more important stat. Ribeiro is really a very gifted offensive player when you look at his #'s, espically in the Q. Just too bad he doesn't know how to behave himself on the ice. Good to see my good buddy moe has decided to join us at HW... I know he likes my new avatar. [Edited on 2005/9/4 by Leafs Suck]

Colin
Koivu, the "non-top line player" as many like to call him, has the same PPG average as our "superstar forward" Kovalev. Gotta love habs fans who gab before they think. Colin

~moeman
Kaptain K (sometimes injured and let's not even equate his hard fought and won battle v. cancer) has almost the same PPG avg. as clutch and he's been paid 1/3 what old yellar has been. Bonus, Saku isn't condescening like cujo's Olympian (stick throwin') nemesis. (man what a royal waynEgo fcuk up it was to put quinn's leaf baby in net, in game 1, in 2002, whilst Martin 'fcuking' Brodeur sat on the bench!!!) Koivu has averaged the same PPG as our "superstar" and yet if you were to ask, a fairly shockingly large number would say that Koivu could never be considered a number one centre. I mean, the guy has played with one 1st line winger over the course of his career - Recchi. Well, and Kovalev for a bunch of games at the end of last season. But what do I know. On the other hand, I notice none of those who feel Koivu isn't top quality have posted in this thread yet. Hmmm.....wonder why?????? Colin (think I'm feeling a lil bitter tonight? I've had to edit this post about 10 times before submitting it to make sure I'm not TOO negative. Musta been a long day)
Leafs Suck
I don't think anyone has labeled Kovalev as a supertstar. I think he's very talented but anyone who called him a superstar is way outta line. Koivu is an underrated player he gets no respect from the Canadian media because he doesn't appear on soup cans. Lets not forget, in 1997 he was leading in the league in scoring when he went down with a season ending knee injury. The only people who don't appreciate Koivu for being an outstanding talent are people who know very little about the game.
dahabs111
I agree with LS. Who knows what could have happened that season had Koivu not gotten hurt. and the season after....and after.... to this day, Koivu plays with more heart every night than any other player

Leafs Suck
96/97. I believe he had just taken the scoring lead in the league over Forsberg (I think) and later in the game he blew his knee out and missed the next 2 months.
