  1. Sad day in this world when this is the major story on the Canadian News outlets.
  2. Spice Girls couldn't finish the tour I believe, they started bitching by the time they got to Europe.
  3. Well Italians are slow starters, so this wasn't shocking. Missed the game unfortunately, had to apply for my German class at this local university. (damn expensive) France didn't impress me today, in fact, they sucked. Netherlands is coming out of this group of 'death' which is looking like a group of overrates.
  4. Whiney 50-60 year old feminist women who will just hold up their nose and vote Obama is the 20 The 17 percent is the folks who always go republican and they live in states like kentucky. I don't trust any polls from the cable networks. During the primaries Fox - lunatic fringe as usual msnbc- obama cnn- clinton If its NBC/CBS/ABC done poll, those are the good ones. Anything that is done in house by the cable news networks is more or less partisan. Americans are mostly full of shit anyway when it comes to politics. Most of the English world is for that matter. Brainwashed by backwardness conservatism whilst they sing "Obama the Magic Negro" on the radio.
  5. Still! were's my 'Create a track option' or better yet on the PC you can make your own courses in Golf. When is EA going to make 'create a course option'. Besides multi-player and online play I don't see a point to racing games other then the gt's of the world. These platforms have enough power these days that this is doable.
  6. I pretty much did what jets did. I didn't watch a game until the final 10 minutes of game 6 in the SCF. I despise the Red Wings and I hate their uniforms. I hate their obnoxious fans, but always wished Lindstrom, Holmström and Zetterberg were on my team. Its dominated by Swedes now, 90s all those Russians. damn made me jealous as a Blues supporter. They always got the good players and we'd get the Craig Janney's of the world or the Courtnall brothers. lol
  7. I've wondered why in auto racing games we haven't been able to create our own tracks yet?
  8. Total domination by Germany. He did call out the Polish media Dutch? That's good. Austria got robbed on that PK call. Big day tomorrow.
  9. haha wait I remember some of you saying that I should still watch the games even though Canadian teams weren't in it anymore. Seems a lot of people share my sentiment.
  10. Saw the German movie The Counterfeiters, the movie that won the Academy Award in 2007 for Best Foreign Film. It was superb.
  11. How many can you play in multi? hmm I got some money now. I'll hit the stores.
  12. How is it so Pierre of me? lol
  13. Yeah I'm just thinking about the relationship between BBC World Service and 10 Downing Street... I'm a defender of the CBC. Yeah they don't know how to market anything, which is blatantly obvious. They absolutely suck at marketing. Their budget maybe bigger then BBC, but CBC has to do things in two languages, BBC doesn't. Still not defending their marketing skills because it sucks. No government has cared about the CBC because I don't know how many stories I've read where they cut funding and then CBC has a hit, makes a blip on the radar screen and then governments get interested. I'm still a believer in that if the CBC goes, English Canada merges into the nearest American region. Its already happened in Vancouver and BC basically. There's no uniformity on anything. From language, to arts, to culture.
  14. Canada Finals: 2.301 million average for the Finals on CBC down 8% from last year of 2.503 million Playoffs: 1.343 million average down 9% from last year of 1.477 million US Finals: 3.2 rating and a 6 share for the Finals Game 6 had a 4.0 rating and a 7 share, a 111 per cent increase over the last Game 6 in 2006, when Edmonton-Carolina drew a 1.9 Translation: Bettman is ignoring Canada as usual so people are tuning out and he needs to rid the NHL of non NHL markets. So simple. Still its low. Ban any non traditional hockey market from making the playoffs and it will go up of course. Next year when we a ATL-SJ final that burning log shown during Christmas will get better ratings. People will watch a game when the teams are known. Nobody knows places like Florida and Arizona have a hockey team. The people in PHOENIX don't even know they have a hockey team. god. *sigh* Still a rerun of Gossip Girl on CW or Farmer Needs a Wife still gets higher ratings. http://canadianpress.google.com/article/AL...7EcLqsLc-JtZAfg
  15. You're the third person to tell me to get GTA
  16. I guess the Poles want to be invaded again, this is uncalled for: The picture managed to top even the worst excesses of British soccer-related Hun bashing: the sports section of the Warsaw daily tabloid Super Express depicted Poland's national football coach, Leo Beenhakker, with a warlike scowl. In each hand was a recently severed head, both dripping blood on to the foot of the page. The heads belonged to Michael Ballack, Germany's team captain and Joachim Löw, the side's trainer. In the middle of the photomontage a giant headline etched out in the Polish national colours of red and white urged Beenhakker, who happens to be Dutch, to " Give us their heads!" The gory image, published in Poland on Wednesday, was merely the latest round in a protracted tabloid war that has been raging in Polish and German mass-circulation papers for more than a week. The mud-slinging reaches a climax tomorrow when Poland meets Germany in the Euro 2008 football championships in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt. The German media has been tormenting the Poles with football jibes. It has featured items such as a joke anti-Polish video clip which shows German fans stepping out of a bus to relieve themselves during a long trip on the autobahn, only to find that their vehicle has been stolen by Polish thieves while they were having a pee. But the war really started in earnest when Poland's biggest-selling daily newspaper, Fakt, retaliated on Tuesday with a picture of Ballack wearing a Prussian spiked helmet, waiting to be decapitated by Beenhakker wielding a massive battle sword. This time the paper implored the Dutch trainer to "Repeat Grunwald", which was a reference to the 15th-century battle of the same name in which a combined force of Poles and Lithuanians inflicted an ignominious defeat on the German order of Teutonic knights. The victory is almost the Polish equivalent of the Battle of Trafalgar. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/eu...-it-842094.html
  17. lol still haven't hooked up the 360 yet.
  18. hahahaha Well i consider urban planning/transportation/human geography inherently political.
  19. damn when is this stupid horse race on??? Since when did the race go back to ABC???? ugh. Well the stupid horse lost, finished dead last. haha Knowing the history the trainer Big Brown will be Big Dead in a ditch tomorrow. Stupid horse racing.
  20. Yes, but it's just not possible. Think about it, it would be treated as a plane. Imagine if 100 million people were flying around with a plane in the United States right now. Air Traffic Control would collapse. Realistically a flying car would in order to work only be able to go 2 feet off the ground and follow a highway on the ground of some kind which then would defeat the purpose of flying cars if you didn't want roads. Then how would we be able build our communities? In the sky? It just doesn't make any sense for practical purposes. Still what would fuel these vehicles? Unless you go the fantasy route, the only fuel I could think of in the future that might work, (that is if we ever are able to do this, so far we have not been) is non radio active nuclear fusion. The problem is that not every chemist (I think its wishful thinking) believes that someday we'll find a non-radio active nuclear fuel and to harness Nuclear fusion would be like harnessing the sun's energy.
  21. Imagine the logistical headache those would create. They would need some kind of air traffic control radar system. The idea sounds great but its logistically impossible if it were feasible on a massive scale.
  22. That's what's lacking in most North American cities which drives me up a wall. Its a crime that there will never be a skytrain route to UBC or West Vancouver or North Van. Instead of building his highway to the glory of himself Campbell should of built a high speed rail link to Whistler (or just a train would be fine doesn't have to be high speed although that would be the best) and if he hadn't sold off BC Rail... He could of made it a passenger route w/BC Rail. Its a crime that a high speed rail link hasn't been developed between Seattle and Portland. Vancouverites don't go to Calgary they go to places like Bellingham, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco. Only thing stopping a high speed rail link is the little town of White Rock apparently. Going by train to Seattle is nearly impossible. Most of the time they'll take you by bus to Seattle and then you'll get on the train. While European cities like London are clogged with traffic, I have and always will consider Europe and Japan far more advanced society in transportation then North America. You want to know where my 'I long for Europe started?' When the Chunnel opened, I was exposed to the idea of getting around the European country side by high speed rail link. As a person who has never been on a train in their life, high speed passenger trains to me signify higher development of society.
  23. BC Roads are dangerously goofy outside the major roads. The highway to Tofino becomes a cart path in some places.
  24. Sounds excellent! Yes last time I was in Vancouver gas was 1.35 now in some places its 1.45 (its really 1.43 but I'm adding the carbon tax coming in at the end of the month). So its 5.50 a gallon. I'm ecstatic not to be driving anymore once I go back to school in Vancouver this year. I'll just buy a bike to get around when I want to stay in the west end/kits area. Bus anywhere else.
