After watching the clip a second time, I noticed a message written on the white board to the left of Abby, "Good luck Guys, Take Care"........I wonder if that was Theo's message to his former teammates before he left.

If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading somewhere that Abby the New Habby already has a pretty large fan club (mainly Swiss?) that follows him around all over North America. Anybody else hear/know about this?

Speaking of Koivu, the guy is still somehow managing to produce....even though he looks exhausted toward the end of each shift.....I know he wears the "C" and is fulfilling his duties and all that, and I know BG has him off the PK and his ice time is down a bit , but the poor guy really needs a couple of days off. I want his tank full for the playoffs.

Totally agree with your 3rd star selection(s)....those 2 guys and the "D" played awesome tonight..........I think everybody is finally starting to figure out that if they just commit to their job,and their job alone, good things will happen.

This will a tough game, because you know TB will come out hard after taking that 8-2 beating at home on Tuesday, but for some reason this team doesn't really scare me.......BTW who's the habs with the mean snarl throwing that uppercut? and to whom? For once let me be the first to say GHG!!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I thought Zed was our best forward tonight, very strong on his skates all game long, and his line with Bulis and Plex used their speed to skate circles around the Panthers "D" during their cycle. All our "D" played well, especially Dandy, who seemed a bit more physical than usual.....I think we are starting to see some of BG's and GC's influence sink in on some of the year-long underachievers.

Like I've said before....leave Souray alone!!.....he brings a physical presence which allows our munchkins to skate without fear ........ if you followed this team the few years before we got him, you know exactly what I'm talking about....DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS INTANGIBLE ASSET!!!

Should Koivu Get The Game Off? HELL, YES!! Even if he wants to play....the body cannot absorb that much abuse in such a short period of time. Don't screw around with the rest of the season for just one game.

Just thought of this while reading the song lyrics.........Isn't it weird?/ironic?/bizarre? how these 2 stories (Theo's use of Propecia and Tocchet's alleged ties to the mob) both came out at the same time because, if you think about it, shouldn't the roles be reversed?

All those guys you mention all play for a Habs team that is near the bottom in goals for....Selanne, like Ryder, actually does score and is still pretty good at it....he's also well respected around the league, which adds another inch or two to his height....he'd also love it in Quebec, not only because he'd be playing with his fellow Finn Koivu, but also because he'll have less of a chance of getting a speeding ticket when he's racing around in one of his sports cars.........but seriously, I do agree that one of the things we need right now is a gritty Ryan Smyth-kind of player who will park himself in front of the net during PPs and be willing to take a beating.....I remember how he drove Giguere crazy (literally!) a couple of weeks ago....Ottawa uses Neil & Chara to do the same...maybe we can clone Begin so he could he could play both PK and PP.

.....good to see a habs score, but Vokoun completely misplayed that one.....a slapshot from the left point with absolutely no screen?....definitely should of been stopped by an NHL goalie.

On the Sabres telecast last night they did show the trainer come over to Zed after a short shift, and he had his head down as if he was in some pain.....but I did notice he was out there on his next shift.

Centre-Ice was showing the Sabres feed of the game, and all I kept seeing during the breaks throughout the game was Ko-horse-ski "tutoring" the younger McAuley ....through their animations they looked like they were discussing plays, with Ko-horse-ski doing most of the talking....it's like he was preaching him not to be intimidated by the home crowd into making calls against the visitors, even on obvious penalties......those 2 at the end were penalties, and needed to be called, but others against the Sabres were missed (like the interference on Ryder to the right of the goalie when he didn't even have the puck) .........inconsistent reffing cost us this game.
