  1. I think Lambert was #11....Mario Tremblay was #14, but both of these guys came after Gainey, and this picture looks like Gainey when he was a rookie....who wore #14 before Tremblay?
  2. Raphael's trying to replace Dags as our new shootout specialist.
  3. Who's stick is that he got for the photo shoot (#14)?
  4. The grass isn't always greener on the other side....leave Theo alone!!!
  5. Zednik is not a leader but also should not be traded because of lack of effort.....teams have caught on to the same move he always tries and have adjusted to nullify his scoring threats. Zed has to figure out new strategies to make himself useful to this team. One thing he has been doing and doing well lately is to get in front of the goalie duringg PP's. However, i did I cringe when I saw him near the point on one of our PP's vs Ottawa.....he has no business there; he's not a playmaker nor will he ever be one. He is also the kind of player that needs stability on 1 line.....CJ, when is the experimentation going to stop?
  6. There was mention during the last Atlanta broatcast that Lehtonen might be back in nets for the Habs game.
  7. What's the refs name? Kevin Pollock.....does that ring a bell?
  8. I think this is the same MF who screwed us in the last Leaf game?
  9. Back to the thread.... Habs 4 Sens 1 (I don't care who scores) Go Habs Go!
  10. You think Roenick sounds a little pissed for not getting picked? http://tsn.ca/olympics/news_story.asp?id=147642
  11. I agree, Miller is positionally solid and IMO better than at least 2 of the other 3 goalies; he just stoned Philly tonight (I think it was only his first or second game back), and DiPietro.....just check the boxscore....Leafs just kept hitting the 5-hole against him. I'm Ok with Esche, but Graham....he was only a backup last year in TB and has played like one so far this year.
  12. Corvina, is that your mug on the avatar?....and if it is, are you going to audition for "The Sopranos, the 7th Season"? ............................Just kidding, of course.
  13. You have to play hard and skate fast to get injured.
  14. I know TSN is all about TO, but I didn't think their disdain for the Habs was felt this deep. Check out the picture that goes along with the story about the habs's injury woes.....talk about adding insult to injury! http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=147579&hubname=
  15. WOW!!... and after all that, they shake hands...thanks for getting my Sunday morning started (even my dog is barking now).
  16. I also like JD and Sam Rosen, and yes, Denis Potvin is a sad excuse for a color guy, but have you ever heard John Garrett of TB? Him and the drone that does play-by-play are right up there with those 2 homers from Carolina with those irritating voices and limited hockey knowledge.
  17. Note to Julien: Never, I mean NEVER match up the defensive pair of Komi & Cube with Ribs line, especially with 5 minutes left and a 1-goal lead......the last 2 goals against were a direct result of this lethal combination.
  18. Where is the "None of the Above" choice? My 2 favorites are: The guy for the Thrashers (JP Delacamera?) and Bob Cole of the Kings.
  19. In my "Crystal Ball" I can see a 3-1 win for the Habs: Habs: Zednik, Dagenais, Bulis Wild: Bouchard (late goal to spoil the shutout)
  20. Just seconds before the last penalty on Ryder, we had a 3-on-2 rush....Ribeiro gets a nice pass from Ryder, right in the middle of the ice with the defence backing in on Conklin....Prime scoring area, right?....Shoot!!! No, he tries a ridiculous pass back to Ryder who is at an angle....turnover....penalty....PP goal....game over! I'm sorry but I think we've been patient with this guy far too long....time to dump him (I'll take a 5th round draft pick, anything!)
  21. According to TSN's Ice Chips Section ............"Canadiens' Alexei Kovalev will not play on the teams two-game road trip." Wasn't expecting him back this soon after surgery, but I thought he was going to be ready for Minnesota.
  22. Probably a combination of both.....the 'yotes couldn't put together 2 passes in a row, but a big reason is that we controlled the center of the ice most of the game......and yes, this was Souray's best game in a while.....actually in the past couple of weeks his game has gotten better....actually all our "D" tonight were pretty solid.
