  1. I thought i was going to make the game threads for the playoffs Guess not :/
  2. Habs are in! The victory would have been good, but the most important thing is we're in.. Guess i'll have to start preparing my stuff for the playoff game threads after all :hlogo:
  3. 4 minute penalty on Chara for his random attack on Komisarek. I Fu¢king hate Chara. It's one thing to be tough and aggressive, it's another to do stupid crap like he just did to Komi. Glad he got punished for it. Habs need to capitalize on that early in the 2nd.. make that scumbag pay. GO HABS GO :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  4. Exactly the lines i want to see, word for word, player for player. I can only hope.
  5. Not going to blame the refs for this loss, as clearly the Habs were outplayed on many fronts... but what the hell was with the reffing? How many high sticks, hooks, crosschecks did i see NYR get away with tonight... and then a weak holding call just for kicks at the end against the Habs. Frustrating.
  6. Her eyebrows are way too bushy, aside from that not too bad! GO HABS GO :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo: They invade our ice, and we fall back. They dominate entire periods, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here This far and no further Say your prayers Rangers, it's on now. I'm calling it a difficult but good game: Habs 4-2 over Rangers
  7. Penalty half-killed :hlogo: Let's go Habs finish the period 0-0 that'll be good enough
  8. Watch Komisarek have a big game tonight as he kicks it up a few notches.
  9. Why'd my post get deleted? No swearing allowed on the forum? How come JLP was able to swear? Weird. In that case:
  10. Bouillon still out, that leaves us, what... Komisarek, Gorges, O'Byrne, Brisebois.. Hamrlik? Time for Dandenault to play D again..
  11. I correctly predicted 6-2 last time, let's see if i can get it right twice in a row! 5-2 CH GO HABS GO :hlogo:
  12. If a thread on this subject exists already, i haven't found it... tried to search function to no avail, so here goes: For years i've scratched my head as broadcasters and fans of rival teams consistently butcher the name of the team. I've always said "Can-ay-di-uns", but a lot of people say "Can-ay-di-ehhns" with strong emphasis on the aehhnns Then there's people that say "Mawntreal" instead of "Muntrial". Ahhhhhh!@!~#~ Nothing bugs me like hearing some TSN guy or some fan from Boston say "Maaawntreal Canadi-aahns"
  13. Time for vengeance. The Laffs have humiliated us in our own town, it's time to end the season series with a bit of payback. GO HABS GO! 6-2 Goalfest for the CH. :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  14. great article Trizzak Brb, gonna install a coffee machine in his coffee machine so he can make coffee while he makes coffee.
  15. Such a quiet game thread tonight.. i was in town showing a friend around the city, missed the game, but i caught glimpses of it on TVs in the windows of shops on Ste-Catherine's st. Sounds like a good night for us, NYR loses, Habs win :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
  16. Good game, was fun to see the habs put up a good effort for most of the game. :hlogo:

    I Hate Golf

To most people, golf is more fun to play than to watch. Golf is a game of skill. Hate it or love, you have to admit, it isn't easy to hit a golf ball through the air and land precisely at a certain point, factoring in the wind and other factors. What Tiger Woods does and others like him is rather unique. That's why landing a good shot is very rewarding. Golf is an "looks easy" but "ain't so easy" kind of game. The reason people watch golf is the same reason people watch hockey. "Mirror cells" in our brain fire whenever we witness an act that we've done or are used to doing/are used to seeing. Cells that wire together, fire together. The sensation of satisfaction and success when a shot fired off the tee that lands in the hole of a par 3 can be nearly the same when watched on TV versus performed in real life. It's the same for hockey. When we watch hockey, in our brains, we imagine ourselves as the players and when we land a body check of bone-crunching proportions, we get the same neurochemical releases as the players do. Which is why defeat is so unbearable and success to sweet. People, especially males, thrive on the satisfaction of success. It has a large role to play in ambition, ego, competitiveness, etc. It's the same for golf, except that as a more delicate and precision-skill based game with a slower tempo, the effects tend to be pronounced if you've had previous golfing experience you can relate to. Here's a video of Tiger Woods just a few days ago. Don't believe me? I think all the fans in attendance were feeling pretty good, not just Tiger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s8CqW00jiA
  18. Damn, NYR beat NJD 3-0.... Another must-win game tonight if we want to keep a hold on 8th and maybe shake NYR's grip on 7th. GHG :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo: Nice to see you back for a surprise game thread, Spidey
  19. I can smell the optimism from a mile away
