  1. Carey Price showed up for the other 48 minutes so it's all good. Also the 4 goals from the Habs were well fought for goals. If those 4 goals had been scored in the first we wouldn't be saying they played soft tonight. It happened towards the end of the game, but i didn't think they were all that bad. Slow, sloppy, however..
  2. What? Hmm that's not what i had read. Oh well the Great One must have changed his mind. Thanks for the info! GO HABS GO 2hrs 30mins till game time!

  4. Habs played bad tonight and i'm not blaming anyone but them for the loss, but dang, reffing was atrocious. Those refs should get finned for incompetence.
  5. Washingtowned! Habs game now 45 mins away... so sleepy and gotta get up early tomorrow, but i know my priorities in life. Habs > Sleep
  6. Hang on a sec i accidently messed up some of the images on my server.. i had the correct lines then messed it up, i'll fix it in a sec

  8. My apologizes for having not posted a proper game thread tonight, but i had some bizarre stuff come up tonight... Glad we won!
  9. I'm at work until this afternoon, i have no time to make the game thread until then. Until then, pre-game discussion! This thread will "morph" (aka be edited into) the game thread when i get back. GO HABS GO

  11. HAPPY The Canadiens chemistry is left alone and the youth can continue to prosper and win games into the post-season. Yes it's a little sad for Huet, but that's life. He leaves on a good note, having had a good season in Montreal. Montreal gave him the chance to become an all-star goalie and he in turn gave Montreal a lot of wins.
  12. Aye. I said it after The Miracle that maybe, just maybe, no trading was the best outcome. I stand by that evaluation. I'm glad the boys weren't broken up for some rent-a-Hossa. If The Miracle shows what this team can accomplish at its best, then along with this 3rd period performance tonight (albeit against a lowsy Atlanta team) it's safe to say the Habs can be big players come post season.
  13. A satisfying win. The post-deadline stretch begins well. No more stress or trade worries for this team. They guys have chemistry, they play well, they're having a great season, and the focus can now return to securing some home-ice advantage! GO HABS GO :hlogo:
  14. Habs aren't playing as bad as Habsfan is describing, although they do need to crank it up a notch if they want to come out of this with 2 points.
  15. IT'S OVER We lost Huet That's it. Game over folks.
  16. Actually i meant to have the Gainey tribute for last saturday's game thread but i accidently put it up again. I think i'll leave it up anyway. Gainey's so awesome he deserves two game threads in his honor! GO HABS GO

  18. I liked Huet. I felt more comfortable with him in nets than Price, at least, at the present. It's alright though, Price will just learn and develop faster this way. So long Cristobal, you will be missed! Thanks for everything! You wore the CH proudly and helped turn around this club.
  19. Yup! He should be. Also: Steve Begin will be a gametime decision due to a groin injury he suffered just before Alexei Kovalev's game-tying goal Tuesday versus the New York Rangers.

  21. I understand what Habsfan is saying... francophones tend to do well against us, in Montreal. That always makes me a little nervous too, but in a battle between: Nervousness generated by francos always doing well against us and the character and drive of this Habs team, i'll pick the later.
  22. The guys aren't dumb. They know well enough not to sit by complacently. If anything the fact they got off to a 0-5 start will be reason enough not to "need" to have to catch up 6-5 next time around. I predict a very very strong first period, average second period, and average third period.
  23. TSN now reports Sabourin will get the start. Earlier they had reported Fleury would. Make up your mind! Now i have to change my game thread
