so we're kind of pre-occupied hence we're canuck fans. We watch a game, we lose, there's always a walk on the beach or in a park we could do. While you guys are freezing, we seem to live in a parallel universe.
I should be ashamed of myself, but I was born and raised in BC, but was also raised watching and cheering for the Habs. All of my friends hated the Habs and made fun of me, so I ended up focussing my attention on them losing and choking on the few occasions that they had a shot. I now continue this tradition and generally enjoy their failures. It's nothing against the Canucks or their fans, only the ones who hate the Habs. I am quite spiteful toward Habs Haters.

Ouch
What are Bonk and Johnson earning this year? I honostly thought they brought more to the team than Kosto and Smoke.
Our youth look good from an offensive standpoint, but I wish we had a little more defensive depth that could be called up. Oh well. I missed most of the game. How did Price look?

3 F#%ing posts tonight

I have sort of seen this coming lately. Earlier, when we started looking good, we were getting some secondary scoring to go with the amazing Plex line and Huet's play. Now it's all Huet and the first line. Nobody else has done a thing for several games. No Hammer hurts real bad too.
-
I don't care what place we come in as long as we don't face New Jersey.
-
Man I was sure hoping Hammer would be ready for tonight. Remember when he was signed? A lot of us were pissed at his salary vs impact on the team. I would say he is the best signing Habs have made since Kovy. Breezy should be benched and Dandy on D. I hope Breezy retires next year, without his old offensive prowess, he is so weak.
-
Huet will be looking for top 10 goaltender pay, because he is a top ten goaltender. Bob will give it to him, because as of today Price is still weak at puck tracking. He is very skilled and solid positionaly, but gets burned where Huet notmally doesn't. If Price develops well, Huet will be great trade bait next year. I hope he stays for the stability of this young team.

What a game. The first two periods the Habs were posessed. What intensity! Boullion had the bad give away and the bad penalty. Breezy was....well...Breezy, but all the lines looked great. Koivu had a few chances tonight. That flurry in the 2nd during the delayed penalty, they must have had 5 shots in a few seconds. Although I wonder if Koivu isn't sick or hurt. He has always been so intense, and now Higgins is the on who stands out in that line. We sure miss Hammer though. It was very obvious that he wasn't in the line up.
Great game Habs

Rock those Sens tonight tonight boys. WOOOOOOOOOT. Let's get at least 4 points out of the next 3 games.

From Mike Boone's blog over at HabsInsideOut.com:
I feel so bad for him. He has such a good attitude, and he knows what he has to do. He just can't seem to do it. It's sad to see a one trick pony forget how to do his one trick!

The boys ran out of gas. Rags ground them down and they were already tired from yesterday's game.
This one hurt a lot. I was hoping they would show some character and come back to tie it.
Treadmills after the game for conditioning might be an idea.
-
I hope so. I say play him while he's hot.
-
I was very happy with the efforts of the first line today. Higgy looked good too.
-
Did it look like Koivu was barking at Ryder for not going to the net? Koivu does look like he's having fun.

Crosby is the greatest Hockey player in the NHL! Ovy is great, but Crosby has amazing vision, his passes and creativity are brilliant. He is strong and also plays a strong game. He may not be quite as bang and crash, but he is rugged. Ovechkin had a good game, but Sid is the greatest player in the NHL.

Guy won't see any repercussion over this. He lied to keep his kid out of jail. Was it right? No. Would I do it? It depends on what the charges are, and if I thought my kid did something wrong. If I felt my child committed a terrible crime, I would not assist his prosecution, but I would not lie. I hereby state on this open forum that I love my children, and I will protect them to the best of my ability even it means lying to a fat guy in a penguin suit with a little wooden hammer (depending on what he did.) .
-
I think that anyone who has watched him play and seen how magical he was, still respect him. I know he was my hero as a kid. Lafleur and Roy were the last superheros of this team, and since Roy left in less than favorable circumstances, Lafleur is the most recent hero in good standing with the team. I have an autographed picture of him above my bed. BTW as stated earlier, if I had to lie to some judge to protect my children, that's exactly what I would do. I don't expect much to come out of this other than a little bad press for a few weeks.
IF GUY SAID IT, IT IS SO.

With their biased selection of games, who would know?
Learn French and watch in French - or better, listen on CKAC (best coverage by far) and watch on RDS or whoever. Just make sure you turn off the radio for the post-game call-in show.
I only have French 11 which I took in 1989, and I watch all my games on RDS. After 15 years of watching games in French, you learn to follow about 30 tp 40% of the conversation. That is enough to get by, and I find it much better than listening to CJAD. I tried playing the game on TV muted and CJAD on, but of course the delay on the radio broadcast is longer, so it didn't work.

Well,
I hope this a sign of things to come. Kovy was brilliant as usual. We got some secondary scoring from Smoke. Higgy broke a slump, as did Koivu. The first time that line has outscored the Plex line in a while.
But more importantly, the team showed character. They played with patience even when the odds were against them with bad calls by the refs. They fought all game to stay in it, and dominated the third with great force.
I believe that the New Jersey dominance over Habs is mostly mental, as is our dominance over Boston. You feel beat before you start. I have been there. Keep it up boys!!
-
:puke: Wow, a few bad calls is all it takes with this team
-
I agree JMMR. Koivu isn't his old self, but now fro the first time, when Koivu isn't playing well, the Habs can still win. This is the first time I have seen this in many years. I just wish we could have two lines on fire at the same time. Still, it is so relieving to know that the team has enough depth, that when their leader struggles, they can take up the slack and keep winning. I would also like to take this time to strike all negative things that I said about Kovy last year.

Haha 3 thrashers stars on a loss

On paper, those pairings look amazing. Does this mean Fisher is a right off?
