I was young, so maybe it's selective memory, but It seems to me, that the early 80s Campbell vs Wales game was pretty competitive. This just seems like a waste of time.

He was wearing 62. I lied. Must have been someone beside him

Already noted but still seems nice gesture;
"On the road between Peterborough and Ottawa, where the Canadiens will face the Senators on Saturday night, he received a text message from Nick Suzuki advising him not to plan anything for dinner. Upon his arrival in the federal capital, in the evening, he joined his captain as well as Josh Anderson, Christian Dvorak, Mike Hoffman and Jake Allen, who invited him to eat to get to know him and make him feel at ease. ."
His dad was wearing a price sweater. Hahaha. She had a 62 sweater it looked like.

The reporting is confusing. It sounds like a dislocation. Not separation. An ac separation is not something you pop back in. I don't think so anyway. I had one. It's a separation of the clavicle and scapula if I remember correctly.

Fun and tantalizing prospect to watch.
I'm excited about this kid. Have been sin e the draft
-
Suzuki has been invisible lately.

Baron has played well again. Wideman needs to go down or be the scratch. Kovacevic is not an NHLer to me but he's better than Wideman. The dude is just horrible.

Laval line isn't ready to go down yet.

Edmundson is out of the game with an lbi.
Dach had a good fight.

Oof. Tough goal.

Dach playing center, driving his own line and winning faceoffs. I'm not saying I'm sold on him yet that he will be a top-6 center, but he's doing everything to convince me.
He needs to play centre imo. Put that line together now and then, but he's a centre. Needs to improve face offs, but...

I've really enjoyed the commitment to puck battles tonight. Good defense. Good battle. Great goaltending. I like pinard. Hope he pushes out pazzetta

That wasn't icing

Wow. What a shift by Dach

Nice dive by rat boy

Yep, we've been around for a while. The forum turns 20 in mid-May, mid-October for the main site.
Oof. I was 30 when I joined it.

When he is capable of practicing with team and is ready to play, i hope he dresses.
Yep. He needs to get his reps in on NA ice. Preferably ahl, but NHL is better than sitting on the couch.

Dach had a great game. Romanov for Dach has been a pleasant surprise. I've been happy to see Barron improving as well.

Xhekaj should beat the shit out of armia next game for that elbow on armia's kidney. He's tossed a few bows in his career.

I like how Carey has become the Man in Black now.
Love the ovation for Slaf. Also seeing some positives from Barron. Playing with seven D is nice if it means sitting one of our dud forwards.
Yep. Barron and Harris are both looking good offensively.
-
What a pass and goal. The saucer hit the ice as caufield hit it. Just perfect!
-
Barron set up to Harris was great too. Askarov looks good.

Hoffman is on a 30-35 point pace, so not totally useless but not commensurate with his $4.5M AAV. He's still shooting at 11.3% but only averaging about two shots per game so that won't produce a lot of goals. Another team (maybe one with a functioning power play unit) might possibly see him as a useful add.
1.5 mill salary retained, maybe it could happen.
Ranking GMs Post Serge Savard
in Habs & Hockey Talk

I think a rank with a letter grade might be more accurate. None were good. A couple were adequate.
1. Gainey. C+ Drafted the only hall of famer the team has seen in 3 decades.
2. MB. C. Good at trades. Bad at managing.
3. Savard. C-
4. Goat D.
5 Houle F. Seems like a nice guy. Just incompetent. Trade the Mario or arguably Gretzky of goaltenders. Complete idiocy. I still have ptsd from that night. Remember exactly what I was doing. It's a traumatic core memory. Haha.
