Finally, the winless streak is over. After being criticized by the media after losing to LA in my first game this week, the boys turned things around and beat Phoenix and Anaheim.
It's about time.

...Then you got the old boys with the heart and dedication that can win you those games, Chelios-scheider-weight-tkachuk-modano will either help the team or bring them down. One reason why the USA doesnt deserve to win any games is cuz they left good ol' great teamate and player J.R. off the team. HOWWW can you do this to a player thats brought nothing but love and joy to the country. Roenick is a well brought up american and shoulda been in the first players named to the team. Its ridiculous. Canada names Stevie Y as an automatic because hes a leader and no matter how good/bad of a season hes having hes a lock. J.R. is not Stevie Y skill wise, but hes a stevie Y for the USA as he is for Canada.Just brutal how you leave him off the team. Jason Blake over Jeremy Roenick? And how does Knuble get a spot on the team? cuz he plays on a line with the best player in the NHL and one of the best scorers? Makes no sense in my head actually. No respect shown for the vets, and thats just sad to see... Prediction: Lucky if they come out of the Round Robin with 3 wins.
Sorry, but JR is NOT the face or leadership of Team USA. A man you list as a make/break player is the face of USA hockey, and that is Mike Modano. Not quite sure why you list him as a guy who might bring the team down. He's putting up great numbers this season, and is the best American born player to put on a jersey.
JR, on the other hand, is an outspoken jerk. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a funny guy, but he's not the heart and soul of the team or anything. When the teams were selected, JR was having a brutal season, and had recently made comments that indicated he ready to retire. Plus, he was quoted as saying that he'd root for Canada if he wasn't picked, and that doesn't exactly scream national pride. He is not a key leader and he would not have been a key contributor this year. Modano, Chelios, Weight are the guys who lead the team, not JR.
Ultimately, however, I agree that the US will be lucky to make the medal round.

Last season there was a big stink after some players were yanked off waivers to be traded. I did it twice without anyone caring, then all of a sudden someone did it and everyone cared for some reason.
As far as I can remember, it is no longer legal to yank a player off waivers in order to get something for him.

Stanton was the name of another guy in a previous seasons. Can't remember what. I think it was season two.
Yeah, I think Stanton might have been the head of NSA in season 2. So far, season 2 has been my favorite.

I was always a big Recchi fan, but I recently read some stuff about him, and now I don't know what to think. It was written by a guy from the Pittsburgh area. He says that Recchi has been a real ass this season. Says that he often bitches to coaches about the rookies, even though it is the rookies who carry the team. He went so far as to suggest Crosby was given the "A" to prove a point to some of the veterans, namely Recchi.
I don't have a link, and I have no idea how credible the guy is.
Either way, Crosby obviously does not deserve even the A yet.

Anyways ,I also don't know who the's people are called. Who is Mike Stanton? Is Walt the President's head advisor guy (the one that stole the phone recording from his wife) and what's that blonde woman and the red-head she interrogated's names? I only know maybe 5 characters.

On a side note, Chloe plays her character well if you ask me. I saw the actor getting an interview and she's the complete opposite of Chloe, always popping jokes and what not. Was interesting to seeé
I'm pretty sure she is a stand-up comedian. It would be interesting to see her doing something like that.

I was surprised when Logan's wife ran away. After he saw the pills lying there, I'd thought he'd find her dead in the shower. I guess now she'll be all crazy without her medication. And what's with Bauer? He got some mole sneaking around his building and he lets him live!? Any real hero would stabbed him in the neck with those scissors that he killed the fake doctor with.
Oh - and Cloe O'Brian is annoying. She's a horrible actor and tries way too hard to keep that angry look on her face. It's obviously forced and she's just obnoxious.
Jack is too smart to just kill the mole. If he'd have just killed him, they would still have no idea that Walt in working for the bad guys. I expected some torture though, Jack is the shiznit when it comes to getting information out of people.
I knew that Logan's wife wouldn't kill herself, she was too sure that she wasn't crazy. I knew she'd find a way to get to Jack.
As for Chloe, I'm never quite sure what to think of her. I personally think she does a great job of seeming a little bit off. She never seems quite normal, and always keeps me interested. There's just something about her that makes me not hate her, even though I want to.
I can't wait for the big revelations to come. So far, this season has been pretty predictable. You know it won't stay that way for long.
My question regarding future episodes is what the hell kind of twists we are going to wait and see for. I mean, on any other season, Walt and Mike status wouldn't have been known for another 5-6 episodes to CTU.I didn't get the impression that Mike was in on it. He's made some poor decisions in that past, but he's always come out as a decent guy. Even when Palmer found out he lied to him, he only lost his job, and the real reason was not made public in any way.

Granted, it's no less silly than Svitov being 78 OA. He's not even in the NHL anymore in real life. I'm glad he wasn't edited, like other guys. (ie Dagenais, who I traded Sanderson for, since in my personal sim, Dags became a top 10 LW in the NHL, so I thought I'd be getting a steal.)

He was referring to CON-sistency which yes we have to check for each player in the players.ehm file for every player after a trade. For example Colorado got Jeff Halpern a few weeks back and his CON dropped from 73 to 40. It is a huge pain in the ass to have to check these things while doing the sim instructions as well and at times there are a number of players that drop and need to be edited.
How are we supposed to check something in the players.ehm file? Not everyone here knows anything about the players file.

Why bother with the Con? It's 100 unless a guy is tired. The only guys who I've seen with a non-100 CON the day after a game is a goalie. What's the big deal?
And what's the big deal if a guy gets depressed after a trade? It adds realism to the game. Sometimes people get pissed when they are traded and don't play well for a while.
