You are comparing Lats to Lafleur? wow....
You do realize we could post lots of stories about guys who flame out under the pressure and how many think they were brought up too soon, right?
No one is saying that Lats has no future with the Habs, but he is hardly a Lafleur type prospect so the comparison is rather silly, imo.
You are right, time will tell. I think the point is that there are several other prospects who are not getting the benefit of the doubt. So what makes Lat's so special?

Lats has been given yet another chance (Gift?) to shine. If he doesn't seize the opportunity he has only himself to blame.

LOL, when I stated that after the Riberio trade, I took a lot of flack on this board for questioning Pleks as a 2nd line center. Turns out, Pleks agrees with me.
I still think the kid has a ton of talent and if he focuses on his strengths, can be one of the best two way, 3rd line centers in the league.

Certainly nothing to be ashamed about tonight. if the ref would enforce the rules the Habs would have had about 4 PP this period.

No real surprise, but Toronto pulled ahead on a 5-3 again. Penalties are all for Buffalo. 6 -2. Worse, the 2 Toronto got were offsetting, so no PP time for Buffalo at all.

Go back and see if it was Lats stick that hit him the eye...I could have sworn it was actually the puck deflecting up into the guys face.
Already did.. it was definitely Lat's stick. His stick deflected off the other guys as he tried to slip it through his legs. the other guy stole the puck and as Lat's stick came across, it bounced off the other guy's stick and up into his face.
Lat's was a little guilty of carelessness, but it was accidental.

Seriously, they were all sucking it out there on that goal, but Niinimaa was the one standing there not taking the shooter, which is what you asked.
For the record, I watch every game on TV with a PVR, so i can go back and check out plays again when required.

Yeah, I kind of thought that Green instigated when he took out Johnson's knee.. but apparently, the 2 min penalty he was getting was considered enough... what crap... that is why you see stuff like that.. because you can't even pound the guy after he take a cheap shot...
I hate to say this, but I think I agree with Cherry on this one.. let them fight and the stick work, head shots, and knees jobs will be greatly reduced.
