We continue to have Florida's number...let's hope the trend carries over into Tuesday's game.
-
Can't make mistakes like that against a team as good as Florida.
-
Matheson is such an idiot at times.
-
WTF...finally a good start, and they give it back in seconds.
-
Savard and Xhekaj have both been bad. My preference would be for Savard to sit, but the gap between him and Xhekaj is minimal. I will be downright angry if Struble sits based solely on tenure.

Let's hope that our just got blown out boost is greater than their just got rid of the coach they hated boost.

Thats a bad goal yes... but the entire team hasnt been good enough tonight. It was 11-1 in shots at one point.
The loss is on everyone.
They've all stunk, of course. I meant Monty looking tired and having one terrible and one iffy one go by him. They wore him out. Feel bad for him giving up 5 and getting the hook.
-
That was as bad a goal as you are going to see. Dobes should have started one of the past 2 games...this is on the coaches.
-
Getting absolutely dominated.
-
Terrible period. Marty should order everyone to chug an energy drink during the intermission.
-
Monty owes this team his A-game tonight...haven't seen it in a bit. If we get that, and win the special teams battle, we win the game IMO.

We got a bargain on Slaf, Suzy, Caufield and hopefully Hutson soon
I wouldn't hold my breath on getting Hutson at a bargain....he will very likely be our first 'WOAH' contract of the higher cap era we are about to enter.

Brock Nelson is a UFA this summer, is he worth a look at for a 2nd line centre? Currently on a £6 mill/6 year contract.
3 yr contract until Hage is ready, put Dach back on the wing and Newhook to 3rd line centre.
Sure looked good against us on Saturday.
I think he'd be a great 2nd line centre for us...but he will have many suitors, and we are not the most attractive landing spot for UFAs. Would have to sell him on the incredible Bell Center atmosphere and the prospect of having Laine and Demidov as his wingers to offset the crummy weather and high taxes.

Montembeault confirmed as the starter tonight.
This feels like a mistake to me. Monty has let in some bad ones in his last two starts, showing signs of fatigue. He needs a rest.
-
I second the notion that Dobes should probably get the next start...that's two games in a row where Monty has given up bad goals. He looks tired...a couple of days off would do him some good.
-
Huge goal by 11. The top line needs to break through...we need both points tonight.
-
I wonder if throwing a little under the table cash at the GM of SKA Saint Petersburg would get Demidov released the minute his team is eliminated?
-
A couple of big things happened in that game. Secondary scoring showed up, and showed up big. The team did not let the awful goal against sink them...they fought back hard right away. To win against a hungry team on a night where many things aren't going according to plan is a big step for this group; they found a way, and that's what good teams do.
-
Crazy momentum swings in this game. I will be the first to admit that I had given up on that last powerplay. For the love of God, boys...hang on!!!
-
I don't think I've ever seen a wrist shot rip a goaltender's stick out of his hand with such violence before...it was way over in the corner!

The right pick would have been Quinn Hughes as I said at the time.
Hughes definitely turned out to be the best player from that draft, but most scouts had Tkachuk higher, so Bergy and Co. could be forgiven for taking Tkachuk if they had. The insane Kotkaniemi pick...that's another story.

That was a well played game against a good team tonight. Caufield stayed hot, Laine did his thing on the PP, Nick and Slaf both got a point, and Hutson got another assist to continue his assault on the rookie D-man record book. That checks all of the boxes for me.

You want to get the center. Shortage of them. Martin be good pick. Most prospects don't live up to expectations, you want depth
This type of thinking is why we drafted Kotkaniemi over Tkachuk. NEVER AGAIN!!! BPA always from here on out.

Suzuki is our MVP with zero doubt, Hudson would be runner-up....also zero doubt on that.
