As someone who has dual citizenship I can absolutely assure you that over the years I’ve had worse overall experiences with French Canadian CBP than any anglophone or American agents.

I always avoid the lane that has the bilingual designation on it for this very reason when I return by land.

It's not only CBC, widely reported in multiple countries, including inside the US. Yes, probably 90% or more of the crossings are fine. But some agents are indeed aggressive, and being denied entry (or worse) is no fun. So, care in crossing is a good strategy.

Interesting.  I've crossed into the US a lot (I live in a border town, and have flown in on many other occasions) and only once did I feel like agents were anything less than friendly and welcoming.  The difference in that case was that I was crossing into the US from Mexico rather than Canada, and at the time (mid-20s) I guess I fit the profile (very muscular, lean) of someone who might be trying to sneak steroids in.  They treated me like they were SURE I was, disregarding how illogical it would be for a Canadian vacationing in Arizona to cross into Mexico to smuggle illegal substances across one international border by land, and then try to smuggle it across another by air on the way home.  Waiting for officers to thoroughly search a rental car while standing in 101 degree heat was not fun.

Be VERY cautious when crossing the border ... one wrong word, one unpopular post/tweet/text on your cell phone/tablet/laptop and you could miss the game.

That is Carney government/CBC propaganda.  My brother went to the Carolinas/Florida recently, and US Customs could not have been nicer.

Nope, I couldn't get any in the pre-sale or in the general public sale unfortunately. Now all the tickets are listed for 2x face value. Contemplating going to Washington instead, tickets are still available and are much cheaper

If you've never been there before, and can take an extra day or two off to sight-see, it would be well worth it.  I've already been to Washington as a tourist.

That was a brutal, scary period that ended really well.

Habs have missed so many prime chances.

Very happy and fortunate to be up 3-1

The extra pass was hurting us in the O zone, and those soft passes/clear attempts were hurting us in the D zone.  If they clean both of those issues up, maybe we can get a 3rd period that doesn't give us all an ulcer.

Slaf has a specific role on the first line and on PP1 and its one that Demidov can't do.  Its to win battles on the boards and retrieve loose pucks.

So are you taking off Caufield or Laine on PP1?

I'm seriously thinking about Laine, but I'm fine getting Slaf off of there so board battles are not as important when we maintain possession by moving around.  I want to see Hutson and Demidov holding it, looking like menaces to cut into the middle and causing chaos for the defenders.

21 shots vs the Hawks, dont think i would bet much that Habs would put up much of a fight vs the Caps, if make playoffs.

That's what I'm thinking after watching these past 3 games.  Before that, I was gung-ho to take a shot at playoff tickets.  Now, I see we are really not quite 'there' yet, and the lack of a 2C and at least one upgrade on the blueline is still needed before we can really expect to compete with good teams.  I think that if they do squeak in, I will save my money for next season.
