Its been a while since MTL has had a team like this one. I think Gainey really went in the right direction with Carbo behind the bench and character guys like Downey and Murray. With guys like Murray, Downey Souray,Rivet,Higgins,Begin and Komisarek it must be much more fun in the locker room...these guys love to play hockey and they are gratefull of being able to fulfill their dream : playing in the NHL. Even Radek Bonk has found back his will to play after a very very very difficult season. They play so well right now I cant help but think they are the best team we've had since at least 10 years. I do not want to bash Europeans since our best players are Europeans, but having a good group of North American kids in the line up is the best thing that could happen to the Habs. It brings enthusiasm...im not saying European players are not enthusiast but they do not have the same mentality when they get into the NHL. Its a new reality to them. They have a tendency to slack a bit when things dont turn their way...they question themselves a lot more. Players like Begin, Downey, Murray and Komisarek are easier to coach and when you say they had a bad night they give all they got the next game. I think we have almost all the pieces in place to make us a cup contender...we just need a bit more firepower!

Great now I can relax a bit and keep my energies for the playoffs. Playoffs games are very tough on the heart!

Did you see the hit from Flyers Gauthier on Straka tonight? Probably the biggest hit of the year...but wow Gauthier will kill someone one of those days. I cant find any link of the clip if I find I'll post it. Straka got shaken up but was back on the game... The team that will face the Flyers in the playoffs should take precaution because when he hits he tries to decapitate you.

And high stick each others in the face and get eyes injuries that put an end to their career. That would be the irony

Iwouldnt be surprised to see both gone next year. Chipchura and Latendresse are in Gainey's master plan! We will see how this will turn out soon. I like Zednik a lot but lets be serious, he hasnt been the same since Mcclarens hit or whatever his name was.

I hate the Maple Leafs with a passion. Im so glad they will most likely be out of the playoffs. Their fans are just so arrogant...the hockey hooligans . Everybody hates them and they dont realise it! Curse Leafs nation! Curse them and may God punish them!!! ALLAH ALLAH AKBAR !!! :king:

So he picks on the first sabres on his way, Hecht. A cheap knee to knee hit... Darcy is a chicken, a yellow and the worst thing is that Hecht got a penalty on the play. According to Sabres coach Hecht could be out for weeks. Ruff was very pissed off after the game and its understandable. Last week he tried to pick on Kovalev, if he isnt suspended, who is going to be the next victim? Suspend him until Hecht comes back!

I am glad I didnt buy tickets for tonight. This game is boring
