I am happy that the Habs held on for the victory last night, but
when is this habit of giving up back breaking goals in the last
minute of the game going to end.
2002
Carolina scores with a minute to go to send the game to OT
allowing them to tie the series at 2 games.
2004
Boston scores with under a minute to go to to send the game to OT
allowing them to take the series lead at 3 games to one.
Tampa Bay scores with under a minute to go to to send the game to OT
allowing them to take the series lead at 3 games to none.
2005
Carolina scores with a minute and a half to go to send the game to OT,
but the Habs finally come through with the victory.
The Habs have given away 3 games in the last 4 playoff series we played. And this habit
is not just in the playoffs. How many times in the regular season did we do
this? I think they have done this more in the last 4 years then in the previous 30.
Let's hope that this was the nail in that coffin because I am now conditioned to expect the worst.
