Guys who need to step it up: Saku Koivu: As captain of this team he needs to step it up and carry the load. He has sleepwalked through the last 26 games with only 2 goals. Well now is the time to show your leadership! Michael Ryder: As Koivu goes so will he. Just make sure you put it in when given a chance. Chris Higgins: Has been buzzing around the net for the past little while, I expect him to finish with another 12-15 goals to end the season. Sergei Samsonov: He's gonna explode in the next couple games. Trust me.. I expect 15 points in his next 23 games at the very least. David Aebischer: I expect he will get most of the starts until Huet's return and he's gotta at least prodive us with 0.915-0.920 goaltending if we're gonna make any attempts to stay in the playoff race. Radek Bonk/Mike Johnson: Theyre doing fine defensively.. but both are proven 50 point guys. A little more offense would be more then welcome! Discuss about who you think needs to step it up big time with Kovalev and Huet out!

How bout assists ass hole. Its not only about goals. Koivu doesnt even know how to ######in control the half boards or organise a pp like Kovalev. Any hockey fan with HALF a brain realises how ######ed our pp is without Kovalev.

Listen, I love Koivu like the rest of us but he wasnt the reason we lost to carolina last year. In the first 2 games Koivu was invisible. Sure he got 2 secondary assists but I often rewatch the first 2 games and I HONESTLY tell you that he didnt create much. The real good forwards early on were Bonk, Perez, Pleks, Ryder (only in game 2), Ribeiro (was making good plays) and obviously Kovalev. The reason we lost is simple. We always choke in the playoffs when we face a tough goalie. See 1998 vs Hasek. 2004 vs Khabibulin. Both instances we got swept. Surprise surprise Ward comes in and in each of his 4 starts we lose.

2 goals in his last 25 games. Being paid 4.75 million. Intercepted passes left and right. Stupid weak shots. Quite a captain we got here!

Another game, another loss. There is NO way we win tonight boys. No way. Without Kovalev this teams offense really stinks.
