What was the point in your post? What's your take on this? Jose is a hero in Mtl. His father and brothers have been arrested. I don't know about you but I know what my family does for a living. He HAD to know something was up. Is that a crime? No, but it's best for all if he remains free and clear of any knowledge of wrongdoing.

When you read the article, pay attention to the series of deaths of these players and their coach and how they died. Then remember the stories of Russian mafia and their efforts to blackmail russian athletes and ask if this is just a coincidence. Lyashenko's former teammate Lokomotiv Yaroslav forward Vladimir Antipov was injured and his wife died in a car crash last month. In May, Igor Grigorenko, 20, the Detroit Red Wings' first pick in the 2001 NHL entry draft and another of Lyashenko's former teammates, broke his leg in two places and suffered concussion in a car crash in his home town of Togliatti. The surgery left him in a coma for days. In January, Lokomotiv coach Alexei Traseukh was shot dead in his apartment in Yaroslavl.

Are we to the point in the NHL where it is conceivable that all players could be paid 1 Million a season regardless of where they play? Then tack on bonuses for team play. Could work.

This is just the distraction Theo needs IMO. No expectations and a little adversity. He'll either step up and shine or crash and burn. Whether he does it in Montreal is the question. We could get some good players for him on draft day, but is Garon ready? Maybe re-sign Hackett and split the load. That would be something now wouldn't it?

Ya, Sundin, Forsberg, Tarnstrom, Zetterberg, Renberg, and Axelsson etc. could never play in the NHL :?- My high hopes for Rivet would be for him to be a solid d-man that makes few mistakes and plays hard in front of the net and along the boards. Not unreasonable and certainly within his capabilities. Boullion does it and he's 4 feet tall.

With his playing in the WC this year I think he'll take his game to a new level. He has an idea what it takes to win now and hopefully he can take that back to the team. Add Gainey and a few of the boys from the farm and this team suddenly knows what it takes to win. Actually being able to pull it off.... that is another matter.

Garon for Deadmarsh, straight up. Big risk for the habs due to his health problems but big payoff if he stays healthy.
