I rarely post anymore and was saving post number 1000 for something special like a Cup win one more time before I leave this world. I've been a lifelong fan of the Canadiens going back to the original dynasty, and my dad was alive for every single Stanley Cup victory the Habs had. But I feel it's important to thank my mother right now. She passed away in her late 90's earlier today. She was a long time Detroit Red Wings fan from the earliest days, which always made for some heated Saturday nights way back when, but I think she talked to those stubborn Forum ghosts today - she knew how much I loved my Canadiens. So I will give thanks for this as it brings a bit of joy to a rather sad day for our family.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. Glad they were able to give you a little bit of light on a day like today. It's great that you looking at it in this way.

Son of a, that sucked.  This is the 1st time in these playoffs that Price has let in 2 weak goals in the same game.  Hopefully, Price is pissed at himself and will rebound next game and get a shutout.

Disagree that they were weak goals. Maybe you could make an argument for the first (though it was a perfect spot) he had no chance on the second.

Article in the athletic is saying Lee & O’Rourke are likely officiating again game 4. This is ridiculous.

You would hope that the NHL will talk with the refs ahead of game 4. I am sure they are not oblivious to the media talk surrounding game 3. The players and coaches did a good job of not saying anything in the media but I'm sure Bergevin has made a private call to the NHL. Something has to give.

  4. So Habs never trailed in a game at any point in this series. The Habs killed off every penalty they took (8) in this series including scoring 3 shorthanded goals themselves. The Habs scored 3 powerplay goals on 13 opportunities for a 23% success rate. The Habs outscored the Jets 14-6.

    The Habs dominated that series!

What did he get a penalty for? If it was roughing, that's weak shit since he got swarmed by 4 Jets after the whistle.

I believe it should of been evened up as well since Lowry looked more aggressive. Guess they figure Anderson was the reason the scrum started though by poking at the goalies glove (the puck did come loose but not sure if it was covered fully).

To be fair, the Habs should have had it in regulation.  I thought they outplayed the Leafs and technically they put both Toronto goals in.  Yeah, they sucked in overtime but it shouldn't have gotten that far.  In that sense, it's fitting that Montreal won.

Perfectly put. Agree 100%. Hopefully we can reproduce game 6 in GAME 7!
