  1. Good call ghg I remember a game against Jersey a few years ago when the Habs had a goal disallowed for goal interference (Ribeiro actually). Later, with the game tied, Hackett was 100% knocked down and the Devils scored and won the game. Therrien cursed Fraser out something awful, but Savard went completely ape shit. We needed that passion tonight. Haha, I remember that game. Man, Savard didn't waste any time. He made it from the press box to ice level in about 30 seconds.
  2. I'm telling you. Bonk's gonna get, like, 30 assists this year and finish with no goals.
  3. Well, at least we broke the shutout. I can sleep without crying into my pillow as much. Good to see Mikey get the goal, he's been trying fairly hard. Smoked Ollie in the mask earlier.
  4. Thank you to everyone who predicted the Habs blowing out the Caps. Apparently the team agreed with you before the game. Washington is twice the team Montreal is today, and it shows in everything they're doing. They're beating us to every puck, they're getting good shots on net, and they're fighting hard and getting the bounces. You don't get bounces if you're not trying. I'm actually praying that the Caps blow this one out really bad. A 9-0 loss will hopefully shock this team back to life for their next contest.
  5. I might miss part of the first period playing a little hockey of my own, but I'll be back to dish out some tough love on all the habs hating posts
  6. Second goal this game because a defenceman has dropped his stick. Save some hockey tape for that top glove
  7. HOW CAN YOU LET KOZLOV HIT THE GOALIE LIKE THAT? It wasn't much, but he nudged Theo going behind the net, and it hurt him. That's the kind of shit that needs to be out of the game. They'll call the players bowling goalies over, but when the 'tender is in his crease and a player bumps him, that needs to be called right away.
  8. Bad ice isn't lopsided. It affects both teams.
  9. Now that was a goal Theo should have had, but I wouldn't call it "bad" by any view. When did Komisarek play the body like a 12 year-old girl?
  10. See? Another goal through the 5-hole. Brodeur is hurting.
  11. It was one of those things where Brodeur could've saved it. Bad play, but...it's Brodeur. If Pleks sniped a corner while Martin was down, then I'd agree, but it went 5-hole and Brodeur tried to cheat thinking Pleks was going to the other side before he even had the puck. Second goal went 5-hole too. Zednik cut in front from the side, made a little move on a defenceman, then let a low wrister on net that went in clean.
  12. I think the record is something stupid like 3 or 4 seconds.
  13. You wanna talk about goals that could have been stopped, I would've expected Brodeur to save at least one of those.
  14. See? Just wait for your chances and be patient, even if you're having a rocky start. Great pressure by the fourth line.
  15. I really don't see where he can step up anymore. There are holes on a goaltender; You can't take those away. You can minimize them, but sometimes a perfect shot is just impossible to stop. Gomez picked the spot and didn't think twice. As for the tipped shot, there's just nothing you can do. That shot was going over the net I think, and Gionta redirected it a bit down. You can't play tips as a goaltender because they're so low percentage. Play the shot, let your defence worry about the man in front. If it gets tipped, hope if goes off you, otherwise get the energy line at center for the faceoff. I'm confident Theo is on his game, and until I see a bad goal, he's still the best player for the Habs this game by far. Look outside the crease for someone to blame. [Edited on 2005/11/19 by Toren]
  16. Yeah, Theo is playing like crap. Two powerplay goals, one of them a laserbeam of a wrist shot off Gomez walking in untouched and another from a tipped slap shot. Absolutely disgraceful. Put the rookie goaltender in, because any goalie in the league could have saved those shots! Watch the game, not the scoresheet. Habs are sleeping and the Devils are taking advantage on the PP. Theo is playing fine, give him some ######ing support on defence instead of calling for his head. Either that, or I hear the Leafs need some more fans with no prior knowledge of the game.
  17. The last choice was Eric Staal. Yeah, I wasn't sure if he was joking or not. Pierre MacGuire has been quietly praising Koivu for most of this season.
  18. I was watching the NHL on TSN waiting for the Habs game to start, and Pierre MacGuire suprised me. They had their "NHL on TSN Poll" and the question was "Who is the NHL's First Quarter MVP?" Picks were Alfy, Jagr, Forsberg, and someone else I forget. Pierre MacGuire got angry and started yelling "WHERE'S SAKU KOIVU?!"
  19. Maybe Sheldon can go see the surgeon who did his wrist about his foot. Then we'd have our Norris candidate.
  20. That's justice, baby! Habs seemed energized after that hit/penalty.
  21. That's complete bullshit. I can't beleive you could even call a minor penalty on that hit, let alone a major. It was an unfortunate situation and you hate to see a player go down like that, but Begin did nothing out of the ordinary. Naslund...I mean, Talbot, was reaching for the puck against Bonk and Begin put a shoulder into him hard. Recchi just took a penalty. 4on4 for 2 minutes, Penguins PP for 1:09 after that.
  22. Perezhogin scores falling down! Sniped that corner on an akward looking breakout
