  1. We need a PP goal Streit needs to hit the net Bonk cant buy a goal this season
  2. I really like early games... the only thing better would be a TV broadcast and a cold Oland's Oh well, CJAD and coffee are more than adequate
  3. Where is everybody?? I'm feeling kind of alone here.
  4. Hockey Day in Canada and I finally get to listen to a game live. 2pm EST is 11pm here, but if they win I will help to keep the streak alive by getting up at 3Am to listen to the next game @ 7pm. Scarifices must be made, good thing I'm on vacation Go HABS GO
  5. Even for Leaf loving Strachan, the level of disrespect for the Habs tradition is bizarre. I always knew he was out of touch with reality, but even he should know that most of those misguided souls who hate Les Canadiens do so BECAUSE the Habs have such a history and tradition of excellence. Ironically enough, the title of his coulumn is "Lawyers who run NHL know very little about league". I think "TO journalists who write about hockey know little about the history and reality of the sport outside of Toronto" would be a better title From Weird Al Strachan http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Columnists/Strac...381798-sun.html As Canadians know, the Leafs represent a bizarre phenomenon. More than any other, they are Canada's team. They have huge support wherever they go and are perceived as the team that best represents the sport's heritage. Most countries have a team of this nature -- the New York Yankees in the United States, Manchester United in England, the All Blacks in New Zealand, and so on. NOTHING LATELY But the reason the Leafs' vaunted status is bizarre is they haven't won anything in almost 40 years. Nevertheless, most Canadians understand this phenomenon and accept it. It is a fact of hockey life. Those who don't accept it usually do so because they think such an elevated status belongs to the Montreal Canadiens. But the Canadiens, thanks to those people in New York, also will visit western Canada just once every three years.
  6. I think CJ's doing the right thing. Kost got a little over 12 min last game and JF came through with his first NHL goal.. they deserve to keep playing. maybe a few games from the pressbox will keep Riberio from over-long shifts and half-efforts when, if, he gets back on the ice for the CH. I know, I've been preaching patience all season but this slide needs to stop we need a winning streak and i hope it starts tonight GO HAbs GO :hlogo:
  7. Nice Post Kozed... We need a bit of cheer for '06 . Now if they could just beat the Devils
  8. GO HABS GO I'm so excited about the game, i'm contemplating staying up to listen even though it will start at 3:30 AM my time. Not much to do at work tomorrow though
  9. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There, I feel better now. It should be obvious that Bob is trying to build the team over A NUMBER of YEARS to contend for the Cup on an annual basis. Obviously, we are not there yet. Just as obvious is the fact that signing a bunch of high profile free agents does not a good TEAM make. Hello, Pittsburgh! Give it time. Of course I get impatient, just like everyone else. I hate losing and I hate when my team loses. And no, I dont like the Perezhoghin move, but I hated the Murray trade at the time, so what do I know? I know that we couldn't find a better GM for this franchise at this point. Think about what happened before and be grateful to Andre, George and Claude and Bob.
  10. If things need shaking up, I'm not sure that Bullis should be the one to go. I'm sure Bob will take his time and not make any trade as bad as the rumoured Zitnik for Rivet and Komi :puke: Flashback to the Houle era :puke: Idon;t think Bob will do anything right now. I think he'll wait till Koivu and Bonk are back and then decide what to do. BTW, whats the word on Plex?

I hate to agree, given my past pleas for an end to the nay-saying, but the team should be winning more even with the injuries. Buffalo did it with Biron, Philly and TO :puke: are doing with a number of different players. The Habs are winning games against teams like Ottawa and TB and losing to equal or inferior squads. Somebody needs to give all of these guys(with the possible exception of Kovy and Begin) a good kick in the ass--especially Riberio
  12. Every streak has to start somewhere. But, I'll settle for two wins in a row for now
  13. Good one. LOL OK We've had our fun and now Les Boys better win the **&^#@)))!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Game! Just say no to ten in a row
  14. JLP I agree completely. There is however, the matter of the tea. I'm beginning to lose faith in the tea; please forgive me
  15. Joy to the world etc. Have a good one everyone and to all a good night.
  16. bring back the Hall of Fame. Anyone over 1050 posts deserves the Hall of Fame. One day I want to be in the Hall of Fame. replace the second NHL veteran with HALL OF FAME please?
  17. Yes, I guess comparing you to Houle was a trifle harsh, but Kovalev for Thornton????!!!!!
