  1. Stortini led the league with scarcely 50 games. I think Laraque might have got more games and more fights if he'd been less 'good cop' and more 'bad cop'. Anyway, what are those eyes ( ) supposed to mean? You use them a lot. Are they 'smartass' eyes ?
  2. I see your point Han, but this year GL's number of fights ranked him (tied for) 36th in the league. Not so impressive, really. For the record I would take fighting out of hockey, I think it's stupid. But as long as there is fighting in hockey, and we are going to have a fighter, gmme a badass with a screw loose (think Lapierre's attitude and Laraque's fists). The whole "Gentleman Goon" experiment failed IMO.
  3. Aw, what a nice guy . . .. . and here we were, paying him to be an in-your-face badass enforcer! What were we thinking? We should pay him to distribute kittens to kids. We got a roster spot for that?
  4. To you from failing hands we throw the torch. Be yours to extinguish it.
  5. I remember the game when S Kosts and Grab wanted to fight and the coaches kept them apart. Looking back why did that happen again?
  6. Our "keep 'em hanging" strategy of not signing players until they are too expensive then we lose them is boneheaded. So yeah who knows, but for sure we lose some more assets.
  7. The lessons we learn from this experience will help the Habs for the big 101st anniversary season!
  8. Ryder pulls a Kovalev . . . . . Habs in frustration toss it over the glass . . . . . ugh UGLY
  9. well, not that it's worked this year, but: Go Habs Go!!! ***dreamer alert*** if we win this one then our goalie steals game five in boston it could get interesting . . . . .
  10. I know what you're saying, but Halak deserved it in game three (maybe in game one!) Yeah, 20/20 hindsight but I think we're guilty of having given too much consideration to Price's 'price' (the 5th overall pick) rathr than his 'value' (still a shakey youngster). I don't care any way. It's too late IMO, but if Halak starts and the team rallies and we get the win, then we go to Boston and he steals one . . . . well, a guy can dream can't he? Maybe JHB found the key to the ship's liquor room hehehe.
  11. we can still win four against the Broons then roll over the rest of the field. . . . . . . that would change everything! Ok unlikely. I say start again, under new coach and new management style -- specifically we sign our players early rather than waiting so the whole league can bid on them and force up the price. Risk of sounding like Don Cherry, get some more big Canadians. I'd bet the current Habs would do better on an international rink size, for the NHL we need a few more forwards who can skate through defenders rather than going round them and ending up in the corner...
  12. Playing Price here (not saying he suxes) was something like the desperate gambler who has lost bad, but keeps laying his chips down on the same number because he believes his luck has to change . . . If the number comes up everything is ok. More likely, though, the opposite happens. Might as well play Price in game four, still some chance for redemption. . . . . . . . . . . . .. .. .
  13. Well, if there's going to be a miracle, this next period would be a pretty good time for it to start .. . . . .
  14. True Ryder, Streit and Huet add up to almost $14m right hehehe. Love your avatar that's Rogie right?Or not . . . . why the cage . . . hmmm Rick, per your ID?? give up
  15. :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: yeah too bad we can't decline penalties . .. . sigh.
  16. meh our PP is all about slooowing things own, then surprising the opponent with a shot. we can't roll that way in the playoffs against boston . . . .
