Yeah he had three okay seasons for a bottom six player followed by three not very good seasons at all.
Inconsistent effort has been Armia’s calling card too.
No thanks

All this talk about Armia is why he got a ridiculous contract in the first place. Let’s not be fooled into giving him another one!
Half a great, surprising season vs. a career of mediocrity.

Flames 3-7 in the last 10, Coyotes 6-4. So, maybe there is some hope there. 🙂
Montreal loss with at least one point from Arizona guarantees 5th.
Make it happen boys

Arizona relocation could be announced as early as Thursday or Friday.
Arizona should celebrate with winning their last two games 🎉- 2

The third period and OT were some crazy stuff.
Thankfully we only got one point. I thought Ottawa was terrible in OT, keeping their Dman at centre when they were in our zone is stupid.

Yeah I certainly don’t want a win but a Caufield hatty would be nice.
NHL reffing is ridiculous

The Sens are so sloppy with the puck.
Fun period full of chances and sloppy, dirty play by the Sens.
Barron has improved defensively and he looked good

I hope Engström wins the swedish Championship. They are such a story. Just barely making the playoffs then sweeping two of the favourites to go to the finals.

A lot easier to avoid contact as a winger than a defenseman. Is Lane going to clear the front of the net?
That’s what Reinbacker is for 🎉 -

I hope he doesn't get clobbered.
I had a similar concern about Caufield and he is fine. Yes Caufield does get clobbered sometimes but he has managed his stature all his life.
I expect Hutson to be okay in that area but I’m unsure if he can get away with some of his high danger manoeuvres.

Good thoughts Tom
I suspect that Matheson is here to stay. The only scenario where I see him moved is for a first line forward.
I would bet that Savard is traded at the deadline and Reinbacker takes his roster spot.
I think the plan is to keep Guhle on the right side unless maybe we draft another RD this draft.
I expect Matheson to be deadline traded 2025/2026 season with the hope that Hutson takes his spot

I don't see Savard, Barron or Harris here much longer. Savard is slowing down as you pointed out and Barron/Harris just seems to be a 3rd pairing guy. Would much rather give ice-time to the queue of higher skill-ceiling behind them than play them for the sake of keeping them, only if those players are ready.
Ideally, I would love to see Reinbacher and Guhle paired together, as I see them spending many seasons paired together. I would love to see the addition of a younger Savard-like RD acquired to slot in beside Hutson in the long run, or that's possibly what the Xhekaj RD conditioning could be about as well. I want to stay cautious about saying Xhekaj being a staple top-4D, realistically he will probably top out a bottom pair Gudas-type guy.
I really do see in the next 2-3 years a tough decision being made between which 2 of Matheson, Guhle and Hutson to keep. From a management standpoint, it's a great problem to have.
I think one of Harris, Barron, Struble, Kovasevic are not on the team next season.
I think that Guhle and Reinbacker are similar in style - can play all areas of the ice but are primarily defensive minded. They both can score but it’s not their bread and butter.
I think Reinbacker is suited to Hutson long term. Hopefully they both hit their potential.

I’m looking forward to seeing if his game translates to the NHL. Not expecting to have that question answered over two games but it’s a start

The only teams the Habs can catch now are Calgary, Arizona and Ottawa, 8th at worst before the balls drop. Calgary has 2 games in hand and an easy schedule. Ottawa finishes against the Rangers and the Bruins but if those teams have their division clinched by then they might be resting some players. I only cheer against the Oilers when they play the Habs but the Oilers have 2 games left against Arizona so go Yotes!!
It's a big game Saturday!!
Habs have a back to back against Detroit to end the season and Detroit is in a battle for a wildcard so I’m expecting a very good Red Wings team. -

Not the end of the world with Ottawa winning, still 5th from the bottom. That's a big game in Ottawa on Saturday.
I really dislike that crybaby German bastard but go Sens go -

That's good news, hopefully we don't get more than 1 point tonight.
You got your one point 🎉 -
Well at least we lost but really didn’t need that point.
Three games to go…we gonna see Hutson?
-
We are going to win this stupid game on 15 damned shots aren’t we? 😞
