We win game two and we are right back in it. CJ needs to do something about offence. Ryder played hardly at all.
We will see how CJ answers in the next game.
-
Zed has come so close a couple of times. It's almost like he teleports himself into position. The guy will score, he is always in the right place.
kovy has looked good. I hope like hell he can break loose.
-
We are working hard but the bruins are pounding us severely.
all I can hope is we find an answer and apply it to game two.

e look pretty good in the second so far. Lots of chances....playing pretty good defensively. we are not out yet.

Just got home from work.
2-0 bruins........23 shots!!!!!!
###### we must be sucking pretty bad so far.

what kind of predictions do you guys have for the other series?
Islanders in 6
Leafs in 5
Habs in 6
Philly in 6
Wings in 4
Flames in 7
Dallas in 7
Sharks in 6
-
Habs in six.....
I did like Kovalev on the third line. He actually had some decent chances.
Bulis on the first was great.
I hate dags but he can score. Maybe give the guy a shot on the second.
Komi is a must. We need his size against the bigger bruins.

I really don't know if i can handle the frigging leaf media and the fans if we play them first round.
I hate living in laffville!
I hope boston beats jersey on sunday.
Stoopid leafs:puke:

We are winning so it's a good game. Things look pretty sloppy though.
I'm dying to find out who we play first round. It looks like it will be Boston if they win tomorrow. If not, it looks like its the laffs.

Cool, I joined

Think of it this way if Julien had traded either dackell, juneau, sundstrom, or Perreault during deadline for either pick, prospect or defensemen Kovalev would most likely be on the 1st line every game and our 3rd/4th lines would be set. It's making it hard for this team to develop chemistry because their not together long enough. Julien is constantly trying to find room for Dagenais, Perreault, dackell, Langdon, begin, ward etc.
I understand what your trying to say.
our 3rd/4th line players:
Joé Juneau, Jan Bulis, Jim Dowd, Andreas Dackell, Steve Bégin, Jason Ward, Darren Langdon, Niklas Sundstrom
which two do we sit out?
Langdon + Juneau?
We need them both. Langdon's toughness is a must. I think you guys generally unerestimate Juneau.
Bulis is awesome.
Begin is obviously a must.
Dackell is an excelent checker.
Dowd plays his position fantastically.
Ward plays well and is an offensive threat.
Sundstrom maybe a sitter but the guy plays well and he can score.
We can continue to rotate the lines but I seriously think we need to stop that. The Habs need to develop chemestry.
Tough job for CJ:?-

I also would like to see Bulis with Ribeiro and Ryder. I wanna see the old 3rd line back for a game of sundstrom-juneau-dackell. Then i wanna see on the 4th line either Langdon-Dowd-Ward or Ward-Dowd-Begin(if healthy).
I agree completely. Kovalev should be on the first line. It was never given a chance.
CJ needs to set the lines though. If Kovy goes on the first line, then he stays there.

We are playing well. Souray looks a little shaky though. The ref is an idiot, wow does he ever suck.
We are working hard I like to see it.
They need to take Kovalev off the point on the pp. The guy is an excellent puck cycler down low. Why the hell is he on the point?
Even if we loose this one, we look so much better than we did last night.
-
I will agree that during the after whistle scrums, there was nobody to rough it up.
I still have high expectations (or hopes) for the Habs come playoff time. We can play excellent hockey. It just pisses me off when we play so bad.
-
It's not the fact that we may loose all the remaining games, it is the fact that we look terrible.
Lazy, stupid plays, poor decisions in both zones, some of the worst defensive hockey I have seen.
We look lifeless......
We will surely finish in 7th. The games mean nothing as far as the playoffs go. But they mean something when we play this bad. IMO

There needs to be a serious talk in the dressing room. Koivu needs to step up here.
The game against the Flyers will be the test. If we play like shit then we are first round broom boys.
I disagree. These final regular season games are meaningless to the habs, 2 years ago before the playoffs we lost our final 2 games, yet we went onto upset the #1 seed.
Even if we lose-out the rest of the season I still like our chances in the playoffs, especially since the stomach flu will probably be long gone by then...
Ohh and... I think we're going to be pounded even worse tomorrow by the Flyers then we are being tonight by the Isles. The Flyers are waiting for us in Montreal... They are fighting for the Atlantic with NJ, and they are getting Desjardins and Primeau back in the lineup... Habs are dead... but hey, I could be wrong...
I hope your right Puck. I'm more than a little scared. We haven't looked that good since the western road trip.......

I don't think they can compete with us" - Brian Rolston when asked about Habs
We are going to see about that. We will surely see them first round.

:puke:
This sucks!
All I can hope is the team takes this as a wake up call. If we don't turn things around against the Flyers tomorrow, we are toast.
Come on boys.......
-
I do hope for the Devils. A Scott Stevens-less Devils that is.
Brodeur can steal the show but he can't stop everything. Scott Stevens on the other hand can absolutely crush opponents. IMO he is the best all around player in the game.
I didn't like what i saw against the bruins the other night. They thumped us about pretty good. Raycroft can be just as good as Brodeur.
The leafs......when they are playing as a team, they are good. I do think Eddie the Eagle can be great but he can be horrible too. Ever watched him handle the puck?
The Flyers have a good team. Is Eche good enough? I'm not so sure. We can beat them with solid defensive play.
Ottawa is scary. We have a tough time against the clutching and grabbing teams. Ottawa is the king of such teams. I think Lalime is useless (if his leg is okay to play) he will be their downfall. We would have to find a way of beating the grabbing game of theirs........
The Habs are a pretty good team. I certainly expect Theo to be great. Koivu is fantastic, the best player on our team bar none. Zeddy has proven he can seriously step it up in the playoffs (that says alot because he is great to begin with). Ryder will continue with his amazing play. He is our future as well as a future league leader.
I think playoff success will depend on the unknowns. Kovalev will need to be the 6.5 million dollar man for real. Can the checking line be effective? Will Juneau's years of experience mean anything? Will koivu's leadership push others to reach the next level? Will Komisarek continue to grow and improve? Will souray get over his wrist injury and start hammering pucks from the blue line again? Will we answer the physical play and after whistle scrums or will Koivu be out there trying to defend himself?
I am exited.....We have beaten everyone we will have to face. Our future is so very bright......

There was an awful lot of clutching and grabbing in the game. It really kills us. We can't skate....I'm not sure what CJ can do about it though.
What I really didn't like was the scums after the whistle. We had nobody to take care of business. Green needed his face punched off.
-
Brisebois will be playing, that will be a big help.
-
Great summary of the upcoming game!
This is a must win for us.
Are we a playoff team or not?
The Bruins will be flying after loosing to the laffs the other night. They need this win too.
I want CJ to set the lines. No more pissing around trying this or that. Set the lines already.
Kovalev is under achieving IMO. I hope he shows up in a big way.
I personally think Begin - Perrault - Kovalev would be an incredible line.
Then again I might be nuts!

NHL Network just had an interview with CJ. He said Souray will play wednesday against the Islanders.
I will be glad to have him back. I hope he gets that bullet shot going again!

The Habs had several quality chances in the second and third. I mean quality chances. Zed should have had 2 goals.
Things are not lost.
