I dunno, if the Habs lose to the Bruins I can't get all worked up over it - they weren't even supposed to make the playoffs. Gainey seems to view the 2004 playoffs as part of a learning curve for the Habs - and a further means of weeding out the non-performers on te team.
If the Habs bounce back and win, great. If they lose they got beat by the better team and I'm not going to go out and burn Julien, Kovalev, Theodore, Brisebois, et al in effigy.
This year's been a great ride but next year, with all the great talent that's now available to the team, is what I'm looking forward to. The Habs are on the verge of something special in the long-term.
That is true.
I was just dissapointed to loose. We may come back. We did compete with them. I hope Theo finds his groove, he can be unbeatable. I thought Kovalev played well, I hope CJ keeps him on that first line.
The second line needs help. They are being manhandled. Someone suggested Begin on the second. It's not a bad idea, someone to bang and crash and win some board battles. Dags had some good shots but if you can't get the puck often then a good shot is useless.
Game three in Habville. We can win the next two.

You can't just let him f*cking walk in like that. It's ridiculous. Pisses me off.
He pranced in.
CJ better pick it up. Work on the PP, dress Perreault and stop changing the damn lines. His strategy isn't working when your team only scores once on a 5 on 3.
:nono:
You are absolutely right but I'm pissed off that Thoedore couldn't stop such an easy shot. 5 million dollar man........
We played well overall. We had some awesome chances to score. The bruins defence is doing a good job.
We could have been 1-1...now barring a miracle, we are done.
FRUSTRATED :puke:

I can't believe it Theo, what a useless goal. ######

What a shit ######ing goal. ###### easy save...######

INTENSE
We are starting to take it to them a little bit. Great chances in the third. we need to get the puck up. Raycroft is too good down low.

######ing ref is a moron
Nice shift Rivet

Come on guys!
It's only 1-0, we are playing better. Yes our pp was shit and our forwards look scared but we are playing better.
If we come out with some punch in the second, we can turn this game around.
If we win this game, we have a shot at the series. We loose and we are done.

Ok guys, is everybody else as confident as i am about Game 2?? I dont think theres any cahnce in hell that the boys well lose this game, Gainey said they looked like men against boys in game 1 and that definitely has to be a wakeup call for em!....
Komisarek Needs to play!
:ghg:
I hope to hell CJ makes some changes. Komi is a must, we need his size badly. Kovalev on the checking line is stupid. It would be better to just sit him and take him off the point on the pp.
I hope the refs are better tonight as well. Alot of questionable calls in the first game. Souray took a couple that were just nuts.
We need to answer the physical play. Well we need to do everything better tonight.
Theo will be better. The loss was not his fault but he was not the super goalie he can be.
2-1 Habs

The Habs had several quality chances in the second and third. I mean quality chances. Zed should have had 2 goals.
Things are not lost.
:ghg:
-
We win game two and we are right back in it. CJ needs to do something about offence. Ryder played hardly at all.
We will see how CJ answers in the next game.
-
Zed has come so close a couple of times. It's almost like he teleports himself into position. The guy will score, he is always in the right place.
kovy has looked good. I hope like hell he can break loose.
-
We are working hard but the bruins are pounding us severely.
all I can hope is we find an answer and apply it to game two.
:ghg:

e look pretty good in the second so far. Lots of chances....playing pretty good defensively. we are not out yet.
:ghg:

Just got home from work.
2-0 bruins........23 shots!!!!!!
###### we must be sucking pretty bad so far.

what kind of predictions do you guys have for the other series?
Islanders in 6
Leafs in 5
Habs in 6
Philly in 6
Wings in 4
Flames in 7
Dallas in 7
Sharks in 6
-
Habs in six.....
I did like Kovalev on the third line. He actually had some decent chances.
Bulis on the first was great.
I hate dags but he can score. Maybe give the guy a shot on the second.
Komi is a must. We need his size against the bigger bruins.

I really don't know if i can handle the frigging leaf media and the fans if we play them first round.
I hate living in laffville!
I hope boston beats jersey on sunday.
Stoopid leafs:puke:

We are winning so it's a good game. Things look pretty sloppy though.
I'm dying to find out who we play first round. It looks like it will be Boston if they win tomorrow. If not, it looks like its the laffs.

Think of it this way if Julien had traded either dackell, juneau, sundstrom, or Perreault during deadline for either pick, prospect or defensemen Kovalev would most likely be on the 1st line every game and our 3rd/4th lines would be set. It's making it hard for this team to develop chemistry because their not together long enough. Julien is constantly trying to find room for Dagenais, Perreault, dackell, Langdon, begin, ward etc.
I understand what your trying to say.
our 3rd/4th line players:
Joé Juneau, Jan Bulis, Jim Dowd, Andreas Dackell, Steve Bégin, Jason Ward, Darren Langdon, Niklas Sundstrom
which two do we sit out?
Langdon + Juneau?
We need them both. Langdon's toughness is a must. I think you guys generally unerestimate Juneau.
Bulis is awesome.
Begin is obviously a must.
Dackell is an excelent checker.
Dowd plays his position fantastically.
Ward plays well and is an offensive threat.
Sundstrom maybe a sitter but the guy plays well and he can score.
We can continue to rotate the lines but I seriously think we need to stop that. The Habs need to develop chemestry.
Tough job for CJ:?-

Last Game of the season Julien has to try some different things. I wanna see Kovalev for a full game with Koivu and Zednik he's not going to do much on the 3rd line. I also would like to see Bulis with Ribeiro and Ryder. I wanna see the old 3rd line back for a game of sundstrom-juneau-dackell. Then i wanna see on the 4th line either Langdon-Dowd-Ward or Ward-Dowd-Begin(if healthy).
I agree completely. Kovalev should be on the first line. It was never given a chance.
CJ needs to set the lines though. If Kovy goes on the first line, then he stays there.

We are playing well. Souray looks a little shaky though. The ref is an idiot, wow does he ever suck.
We are working hard I like to see it.
They need to take Kovalev off the point on the pp. The guy is an excellent puck cycler down low. Why the hell is he on the point?
Even if we loose this one, we look so much better than we did last night.

This is it!
Habs jersey on, cold Moosehead beer in my hand, ready to jump around and yell at the refs.
Big game to say the least. We can win these two home games and we are right back in it.
Come on Habs.
