I dunno, if the Habs lose to the Bruins I can't get all worked up over it - they weren't even supposed to make the playoffs. Gainey seems to view the 2004 playoffs as part of a learning curve for the Habs - and a further means of weeding out the non-performers on te team.

If the Habs bounce back and win, great. If they lose they got beat by the better team and I'm not going to go out and burn Julien, Kovalev, Theodore, Brisebois, et al in effigy.

This year's been a great ride but next year, with all the great talent that's now available to the team, is what I'm looking forward to. The Habs are on the verge of something special in the long-term.

    That is true.

I was just dissapointed to loose. We may come back. We did compete with them. I hope Theo finds his groove, he can be unbeatable. I thought Kovalev played well, I hope CJ keeps him on that first line.

The second line needs help. They are being manhandled. Someone suggested Begin on the second. It's not a bad idea, someone to bang and crash and win some board battles. Dags had some good shots but if you can't get the puck often then a good shot is useless.

Game three in Habville. We can win the next two.

You can't just let him f*cking walk in like that.  It's ridiculous.  Pisses me off.

    He pranced in.

CJ better pick it up.  Work on the PP, dress Perreault and stop changing the damn lines.  His strategy isn't working when your team only scores once on a 5 on 3.

    :nono:

You are absolutely right but I'm pissed off that Thoedore couldn't stop such an easy shot. 5 million dollar man........

We played well overall. We had some awesome chances to score. The bruins defence is doing a good job.

We could have been 1-1...now barring a miracle, we are done.

    FRUSTRATED :puke:

  3. Come on guys!

It's only 1-0, we are playing better. Yes our pp was shit and our forwards look scared but we are playing better.

If we come out with some punch in the second, we can turn this game around.

If we win this game, we have a shot at the series. We loose and we are done.

    SAKU SAKU SAKU SAKU :ghg:

Ok guys, is everybody else as confident as i am about Game 2?? I dont think theres any cahnce in hell that the boys well lose this game, Gainey said they looked like men against boys in game 1 and that definitely has to be a wakeup call for em!....

    Komisarek Needs to play!

    :ghg:

I hope to hell CJ makes some changes. Komi is a must, we need his size badly. Kovalev on the checking line is stupid. It would be better to just sit him and take him off the point on the pp.

I hope the refs are better tonight as well. Alot of questionable calls in the first game. Souray took a couple that were just nuts.

We need to answer the physical play. Well we need to do everything better tonight.

Theo will be better. The loss was not his fault but he was not the super goalie he can be.

    2-1 Habs

I understand what your trying to say.

    our 3rd/4th line players:

Joé Juneau, Jan Bulis, Jim Dowd, Andreas Dackell, Steve Bégin, Jason Ward, Darren Langdon, Niklas Sundstrom

which two do we sit out?

    Langdon + Juneau?

We need them both. Langdon's toughness is a must. I think you guys generally unerestimate Juneau.

    Bulis is awesome.

    Begin is obviously a must.

    Dackell is an excelent checker.

    Dowd plays his position fantastically.

Ward plays well and is an offensive threat.

Sundstrom maybe a sitter but the guy plays well and he can score.

We can continue to rotate the lines but I seriously think we need to stop that. The Habs need to develop chemestry.

    Tough job for CJ:?-

I agree completely. Kovalev should be on the first line. It was never given a chance.

CJ needs to set the lines though. If Kovy goes on the first line, then he stays there.

  7. We are playing well. Souray looks a little shaky though. The ref is an idiot, wow does he ever suck.

We are working hard I like to see it.

They need to take Kovalev off the point on the pp. The guy is an excellent puck cycler down low. Why the hell is he on the point?

Even if we loose this one, we look so much better than we did last night.
